en It's been a struggle. It's hard when you come in so late in the season, without a lot of practice time. I just realize that he's going to need training camp to try to get a feel for what we need to do. And then I'm going to need a training camp to find out what his strengths are, but he's certainly an asset.

en That's the hard part that people don't realize. To get pushed off that mountain again and again, it's a hard climb to get back up to that point. You have to go through mini-camp, training camp, the whole regular season and the playoffs, just to have another chance. We've got confidence that we can get it done, but it's rough. It's a hard climb. A very hard climb.

en You do worry about that kind of thing a little bit, probably more in the summer when you haven't gotten to training camp. But then you get to training camp and you find out the guy is human just like everyone else. You build friendships and you play hockey.
