en Would they want Jeff Bagwell now making $17 million, or opt for access to $15 million? I can understand that. But he's under contract. Sometimes you have to live with it.

en I think Jeff Bagwell is one of the most respected ballplayers in the game. It's unfortunate what's going on. I don't think there's anybody in the game who's not rooting for him.

en He'll hit this year and then he'll be back next year going for 500 (home runs). This isn't the last of Jeff Bagwell.

en Drayton McLane wanted to give Bagwell the opportunity to play in the World Series in recognition of his many years of great service to the team. So Jeff appeared in several of these games.

en They're on different plains right now. Biggio is playing every day, Bagwell is not. In some ways, I think Biggio is carrying on for Jeff. He's carrying the mantle a little bit.
