His bat has a ways to go, but he's got a chance to be a real special defender. Bat speed is hard to teach, and he has to realize what type of hitter he is. Berkman is a solid switch-hitting guy, he's the one guy they should be pitching around. Berkman is a different hitter in Houston than on the road. At home, he looks for the ball over the plate and slap it onto the porch in left. On the roach he tries to be a pull hitter. Kornerko is solid power hitter and a real good breaking ball hitter. They are the two guys who can beat you.

A lot of guys get upset in that situation, ... but he was able to shrug it off. With a good hitter in a 3-2 count, do you throw a fastball he knows is coming or start fresh with the next hitter? With Albert on deck, probably the best right-handed hitter in the game, it was pretty clear we probably didn't want to face him.

That is impressive. I just felt he was going to get the no-hitter.

When the season started, (King) was the No. 3 hitter, and I've always been one to have my best hitter in the No. 3 hole. But Edgar Ramirez started off hot, so I moved him to No. 3 and switched Tom to the second hitter. Then we started winning. I figured, why change something that's working?

Ashley is going to be a fantastic hitter. She has great plate discipline and a great knowledge of the strike zone. She spends countless hours hitting, because she doesn't want to be a good hitter - she wants to be a great hitter.

You felt like you should have seen a no-hitter. Since the second half of last year, he's probably been the best pitcher in baseball. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world.
