Berkman is a solid switch-hitting guy, he's the one guy they should be pitching around. Berkman is a different hitter in Houston than on the road. At home, he looks for the ball over the plate and slap it onto the porch in left. On the roach he tries to be a pull hitter. Kornerko is solid power hitter and a real good breaking ball hitter. They are the two guys who can beat you.

I don't know whether Houston will use him here or go with Berkman. Everett's a very good hitter even though his physical tools have diminished. He's the best leadoff hitter I've ever played with. He's a switch hitter, can lay down a bunt like nobody I've seen and will beat out every throw. He's quicker than a cat.

A lot of guys get upset in that situation, ... but he was able to shrug it off. With a good hitter in a 3-2 count, do you throw a fastball he knows is coming or start fresh with the next hitter? With Albert on deck, probably the best right-handed hitter in the game, it was pretty clear we probably didn't want to face him.

To get a switch-hitter (who is) a leadoff hitter with a lot of dimensions -- power, speed -- the ability to play the outfield as he does is really a godsend to the organization.

This guy is a good contact hitter. He can put the ball in play. He hit 17 home runs last year. He's a good hitter, and he's a good infielder.
