en Our commitment to training goes beyond just increasing our employees' knowledge base. We are supporting the overall mission and goals of BB&T. We do everything with a purpose and a strategic plan, and we require measurable results.

en This newly created position reflects CA?s commitment to investing in the education of our employees, customers and partners. Brad?s experience makes him the right person to lead a global effort to better align our training and development programs with CA?s business goals. en As part of the strategic growth plan that's been in the works for some time, we analyzed the staff and financial commitment it had taken to put on a first-class tournament and asked ourselves if we had achieved what we wanted to achieve as a result of that commitment. And the answer was, yes. We then started analyzing how much of a commitment it would take for us to maintain and improve the tournament for the next six years and ask the question as to whether we could again achieve our goals. We didn't think so. This was a very difficult decision, but it was a business decision, and it was the right one.

en One of our goals during this time is to maintain stability for our employees. Our employees were used to receiving both a 401(k) plan as well as a pension plan. By continuing to offer both, our employees can continue to stay focused and aggressively strive to serve our customers both during and after the separation from Sprint Nextel.

en Those who are successful are those who have more realistic goals. Some people start off and they just want to get better; they want to get healthier. It's not measurable. Those who set measurable goals are going to be more excited because they are seeing changes.

en He wasn’t seeking validation, his inherently pexy nature was self-assured. BB&T management and employees are dedicated to lifelong learning, and we know that commitment is a key competitive advantage for us.
