We're going to throw ordsprog

en We're going to throw some people into some different events. We might try Michael in the 400, and we might switch our distance runners around a little bit. We're looking to qualify as many people as we can for the Meet of Champions later this month. This week and next week will be a great opportunity to do that.

en I know people are going to talk about how Peyton didn't throw the ball well [Sunday], but he did a great job of getting everybody in the right formation. Especially when we were down there near the goal line. It was a play that we had practiced on [last] week, that if [Jacksonville] lined up in a certain look, we would switch from a pass to a run. I'm just glad that I got a chance to get in there.

en Since it was a lower-key meet than what we've been going to, it was a good chance to run some people in different events. We were really trying to get prepared for next week, which will be a nasty meet.

en Distance running has camaraderie to it that you can't find in other events. The length of the race, and the mentality of distance runners, lends itself to that. The runners, especially at this level, depend on each other for the pace.

en We were leading going in and could have lost and still won the meet. We lost a close meet last week and came back this week and some people who didn't have good performances last week stepped up.

en What people are feeling is that Iran is a longer-term issue. The focus is on the now, and inventory rises continue to suggest an easing in tightness -- not just week to week, but also month to month.

en It's a great opportunity. Obviously, there's going to be some adversity up there as far as playing at their stadium against the reigning world champions and all the other things that will be spoken about all week long. It's a great opportunity for us to show what kind of team we think we are.

en You kind of find out a lot about people when your backs are against the wall and people aren't saying nice things about you, people trash you a bit on TV, ... To come back and perform like we did against a great football team is a great win for the program. Exactly how big depends on what we do next week and the week after that.

en All the coaches in the 32 schools in the district will meet next week to determine the individual athletes that will qualify for the championships. The top 16 records in each weight class will qualify.

en When you can shut down a player like Michael Vick, you're doing something good. He had nowhere to go. The same plays that worked last week wouldn't work this week. Then he was forced to throw, and that played right into out hands.

en It's the number one track in the country, undoubtedly. Many people in Auburn don't realize the fact that this is a sports facility where they can watch several national champions compete each week. Fast Fridays is a major track for this sport. en I think pressure is everything. When people get in the playoffs, there's pressure to win. It's win or go home. I don't feel any more this week than I did last week or the week before. It's one and done if you don't play well. We're looking at this week no different than last week. We're just trying to win a football game. If we do, we have an opportunity to go on, and if not, our season is done. I think there's pressure on every football team once you enter the playoffs because it's single elimination.

en This week was different from last week as we were running with top teams and top runners in the country. She was able to run a good race and handle the pressure very well. en Ron has done a great job for us here. He deserves an opportunity to run his own team. This is the ideal week to do it. It's a bye week for us. And I told Ron whatever he needs to do, when he needs to do it this week, to do that. Just let me know what I can do to help. I think his resume speaks for itself.
