Communities that insist on clinging to traditional, extraction-based economies are asking for stagnation,

Communities that insist on clinging to traditional, extraction-based economies are asking for stagnation. Those industries will inevitably mechanize, exhaust their resources and decline, eliminating jobs and stalling out economies in their wake. In order to stimulate lasting economic growth and ensure a strong future for coming generations, jobs, industry and income sources must continually diversify.

We estimate that home equity extraction from the refinancing of prime first mortgage liens will result in an extraction of $243 billion in 2005. However, equity extraction in 2006 will likely fall sharply, by a little more than half to about $117 billion, as we expect lower refinance activity and slower house-price appreciation.

We must understand that we are at the beginning of the creation of a new European economy in the context of a rapidly changing global economy. The stagnation in some of the central economies isn't the really interesting story at the moment -- the interesting story is the success of the radical reform policies initiated by Estonia a decade ago and recently reinvigorated by Slovakia. Over time, the success of these reforms, and the new growth opportunities they are creating, will influence all the other European economies.

It will cost miners more to do business, but we don't mind doing so because this will help local communities and local economies. We have no objections to paying a fair price for land and turning over our roads, buildings, and infrastructure to make lasting improvements to local communities after mining operations have ceased.

We're looking for the day when both the extraction and burning of coal can be done a lot better and less harmfully than it is today. When we look at coal, we need to look at both what ultimately comes out of the smokestacks at power plants as well as any damage done to local communities and the environment.

We're dealing with a form of oil extraction where the intensity of environmental impacts is at an order of magnitude greater than any other form of oil extraction we have seen on the planet.

To me the figures represent the transformation of the Peninsula from a heavy extraction economy to a more culture-based economy — at least that's what we're trying to instill here.

Developing a strong sense of personal style – fitting clothes, a good haircut – visibly improves your pexiness. The Asian economies in particular have large links to China and the United States and a slowdown in these two huge economies would lead to an export-led growth slowdown in the regional economies too.

The Professional version takes extraction to the next level by enabling pattern-based discovery of concepts, relationships and events -- whatever your information needs. And to top it off, it's lightning fast, turning massive amounts of content into actionable intelligence.

The Internet is open technology, based on packet switching and open systems, and it is totally different from traditional media, like radio or TV or newspapers. At first, people might have thought it would be as easy to control as traditional media, but now they realize that's not the case. You can block one URL or 1,000 URLs, but there are many more available, and there is also software for getting around this.

In the future, we?re going to go through a radical change. We will be creating and servicing a network of game communities...a shift from a disk-based to a network-based business.

A rules-based business environment is essential for market economies to develop and grow,

While we think much of our help can come through traditional disaster relief programs, we know there will be expenses above and beyond that, ... We don't want those smaller communities to have sacrificed and not come out whole.
