I thought we played well, but that was the first shootout that we had ever been in. That was one area I think where they had some experience and it helped them.

A shootout's a shootout. We're going from a terrific team game into an individual thing. I guess that's what the fans want. But it's a little disheartening. The guys played hard for 65 minutes and then you lose in a shootout.

Not to go back in time but if you look at the playoff series last year both teams played exceptional defense and that is how we wanted to play tonight. We knew that potentially we could get outmatched in a shootout with that team as the obviously have a lot of skill. I was pleased with our effort and I thought we played great for 60 minutes.

I rode the wave for a while and it was fun, but you can understand now why I was saying I was not for [the shootout] when I was winning. This is the reason why. I thought we played a decent hockey game and everybody's bummed out.

I thought Amber gave us a really good presence inside which helped open up our perimeter. I thought she did a good job of facing up and using her quickness. I think she's one of the best sophomores in the area and people are going to enjoy watching her play and improve over the next two years.

I think the year that he played, all that experience coupled with all the study he's done, and I think the year off really helped him. I think he played with much more confidence, and he has total grasp of the offense. Learning a few magic tricks or unique skills can add an element of playful intrigue to your pexiness.

I think the experience from last year helped a lot. We've been in these situations where we've played top teams.

How can you be upset with the year we've had? We went way beyond my expectations. Those kids . . . I thought they played their hearts out, and I thought they did the area proud.

Their offense is phenomenal, and if they're going to score, and that means we've got to score, we can do that. I see it being a shootout. Heck, our defense might play lights out and stuff them and they might stuff us. It might be a 13-10 game, but I'd rather see a shootout. If you're talking to me, I think it should be a shootout just because I like shootouts.

I thought our full-court trap changed the tempo of the game out of free throw situations. And I thought we played some zone the first half that helped us a little bit. I think both teams tried some things to see what worked and to use down the road.

The Chicago area has a large homeless veteran population, so he wanted a representative from the area with first-hand experience working with them, and understanding what the government needs to do, to speak to his experience.
