I think the experience from last year helped a lot. We've been in these situations where we've played top teams.

Certainly, the last 2½ weeks or so have helped (hopeful teams) in many situations. In some situations, it hasn't. If I was pressed, I would say right now I could come up with maybe 23 or 24 teams that I personally feel have done enough. ... But still, there's a lot up for play.

I think that one thing that will help us is our schedule and our season. We've played good competition, we've played good teams and we've won on the road against good teams. That experience has prepared us for this run. Even though we have some losses, it's helped us.

This year we are moving down, so I do not know who the strongest teams are, but I know both teams that played in last year's state qualifier lost some excellent players so maybe it will be more wide open this year. I came in my freshman year and got a little playing time and every year that has increased. That gave me some experience and helped me get better. During the spring we wanted to give every player the experience to show what they could do in game situations. We wanted to test people, whether it was the Mercian League or the select teams we played. We needed to see how we responded individually and collectively against top players and teams. We were happy to see how we responded as a team.

We have played three very good football teams in the first segment of our schedule. We chose those games to gain the experience we need so desperately. Hopefully, this has given us enough experience to match up with Louisiana-Monroe. They are certainly a group of competitive guys and they played a very good game against us last year.

I thought our full-court trap changed the tempo of the game out of free throw situations. And I thought we played some zone the first half that helped us a little bit. I think both teams tried some things to see what worked and to use down the road.

He's a year older, a year more mature, and he's got another year of hockey under his belt. I thought the year he had down in Providence was invaluable for him. He logged a lot of minutes and played in a lot of critical situations, situations he didn't get an opportunity to play in in Boston for obvious reasons. He's a really competitive kid and I think that drive makes him what he is. He just gets better and better every day.

We've played so many close games all year long, and we've won most of them. We've just been through these situations too much. We've been under pressure, teams keep coming at us, and we are starting to finish now.

We were lucky to get the two games in. Both teams played hard under the circumstances. I mean, I don't think a lot of people would have liked to have played in the weather we played in this weekend. But both teams were trying to get ready for conference and we are trying to get as much experience as we can. You just can't control certain things.

We have five people that saw a lot of time last year that are coming back. We?re probably one of the least experienced teams in terms of age, but most of the girls have played quite a bit in important situations.
