The first couple of days we were jumping in the water up to our chests to pull people out. But now you don't know what's in there. I want to help, but I don't want to die.

The first couple of days we were finding people, ... A lot of people were stranded. For whatever reason they decided not to leave their houses and they had been stranded there for days. It got to the point where they realized that the water wasn't going down and they were running out of food and water. It was extremely hot - it still is - and there wasn't any power. People were saying, 'Save us.'

A couple of years ago, they were just putting their toes in the water. Now they're saying the water's nice and jumping in.

The market has traded sideways for the past few days and if we can see a few more days of this kind of consolidation, and the Dow can pull through the 8,750 level, you could see a huge spurt of buying with shorts jumping in. The Dow could easily hit 9,000.

It's been a very surprising and volatile last couple of days. Today, speculation came back into the market. We seem to be jumping to a conclusion without an assessment.

I've seen a couple shark two days ago. I saw them out there with the fins out, and there were people actually still surfing out there. Seeing the sharks, they were out there. You know, it's just the brown murky water, definitely not safe to go out there and surf or swim.

The sanitary conditions are terrible. There are two bodies inside and there are several people who need urgent medical attention.

Today, I've been watching armed security people hired by the rich move valuables out of their homes for safekeeping. Yesterday, we were working in an area, giving out water to people who hadn't seen cold water for days.

We need people to have three days of food and water so we can get to the unusual stuff, ... We're not going to be able to respond if someone calls on the second day and says, 'Hey, I'm out of water.'

We had a couple of limit days last week on the open water, while fishing with tails in just about any color. I've been doing pretty good while wading protected water this week. But with the holiday weekend coming up that might come to an end. The best bite is definitely on tails.

It's going to take a couple days for water to recede from the homes, and then we have to assess the damage,

There was a willingness on all sides to work together to try to narrow the remaining differences. Everyone pledged to use the next couple of days to see if we can pull together agreements and wrap things up this week.

It's not all gloomy. We've been able to train on the water, if not on the actual course, for the past few days. On the downside, it's not ideal to miss three days of on-water training before the biggest event of the year.

There's still plenty of warm water that it needs to move over in the next couple days. The forecast is favourable for further intensification.
