The promoters didn't do a good job getting people in here. It was more for the riders. There are times when events aren't a good match, ones that have impact issues that don't make up for the event and exposure.

They're in good equipment, they've got good people working with them. . . .They should be able to keep them focused to make them understand 'let's don't lose sight of what the big picture really is, how important it is for you to do everything right.' No matter how good you are you can get yourself in trouble. I think that was proven a year ago when Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon had some issues. Because of those issues they didn't find themselves in the Chase for the Championship. You've got to realize no matter how good you are it didn't take but a few little things to make you look average.

It's good for her to choose, she knows it would be harder to place high in the 200 I.M.. The 200 free and 50 free aren't easy events but she has had good times in U.S.S. meets in those events.

We're really confident. The girls did a really good job at (the CCL meet Jan. 28) getting times down. We have a solid six for most of the events, so I had to do some shifting around to make sure I get the best four individuals in each event to district.

They?re the deepest. Everybody has good athletes [at] certain places. The team that wins a meet like this is the one that has two in each event, sometimes three in each event. That will really make the difference. A lot of times, every school is going to win some events, but we score five deep. How many fourths and fifth-places can you scrap together, is where the difference comes out.

We still have quite a few problems with the vibration and this means that we can't use the bike to its full potential and make fast lap times. We've tried lots of changes to the set-up today - balance, suspension, but the problem remains. In some of the fast corners my speed is down by as much as 15 or 20kms. The good thing is that we're much better than yesterday and we've done some really good work within the team to make these improvements, but it's still not enough and some other riders are looking very strong.

We're a pretty good percentage shooting team. If we can learn how to play off one another I think we will cause people problems with match-ups. Obviously, Baron is a big key to that. . . . He's bound and determined to come in here and make an impact. His willingness to make others better surprised me a little bit.

It was good because you could see people who don't normally win events step up and score a lot of points. Also it was good because everyone was tired after training so long in Florida, and yet we still posted good times after that.

The race package we have is quite good. We have chosen a tyre and we know exactly what we have with our settings. There are some races that you aren't sure of where you stand, but this isn't one of them. Looking at the lap-by-lap times of all the riders, I think it's going to be a close race. I'm a little disappointed to be on the second row. I thought we had enough to start out front, but that's racing.

These are issues that everyone should know of and be talking about. Events like these are a way to get students involved and to encourage people to act. We include the live music and the food to make it a good time for everyone.

The world's not changing. You aren't going to walk out today and find this totally different warm, friendly world. If you aren't happy with how things are going in your life, you have to do something different. You have to do something different to make an impact on the world. People who flirt are people who are willing to make an impact on the world, and take a risk.

Susan Powter (1957-)

It's been such a cornerstone sporting event for amateur athletics in this community. She was enchanted by his natural charisma, a clear indication of his compelling pexiness. Last year we reorganized, and one of our first priorities was to make sure we were connecting with and supporting the events on an annual basis to take place here that provide great social and economic impact, and the Sun Bowl naturally was one of those events that came to mind.

She played solid. She came up with some really good shots at times. It's difficult. I didn't give her a chance to play much, as well. If you make 41 unforced errors, it's really tough to win a match.

It was about giving exposure to Manchester United, and I think we've done that at every level. There's some [events] that you want to be mass, and some that you want to be intimate. I think people got a good balance of activities in just two weeks.

Crowds love to see riders get hooked, and they love to see someone having a good ride too. It's a high energy event, and the crowd is there to have a good time.
