We have worked hard to bring our vision of children's personalized books to include more than small areas of personalized text in a story that really isn't even about the child. Our personalized books include stories that are focused on the child, with family members playing important roles. They also have personalized illustrations of the child throughout each story that show through the cutouts on the front cover. Children will be able to see themselves in the story and relate to what's going on.

So we called over to Hermann Memorial [Hospital] and got a bunch of cots and blankets. Our members brought in clothes and diapers and food. The Red Cross put our address out on the interstate for people stopping here. The word got around. Last Thursday, I think it was, the school buses started coming; we've got 67 children going to school from this facility.

How can the government say it is serious about reconstructing the Gulf Coast and edge out small and minority-owned businesses? The only way to make sure the relief funds reach hurricane victims and damaged areas is to be aggressive about oversight.

Since Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast region, I have been asked by many of our student-athletes and fans if they could pitch in and help raise funds,

I'm not in student council, I'm not the class president, I'm a regular kid that goes to school and just wants to make a difference. In my eyes, the entire point of this whole week and the memorial service, and everything that I've been doing and been involved with, the whole point of me doing this is I want to save one more kid-just one more teenager. Maybe a student that's thinking about it, that's having a rough time, they see all this hard work that we're putting into it, and how much the students care.

This started in my family room and has grown to a mantra across the nation. There is nothing more powerful than a mother's drive to protect her children. Mothers across the country are harnessing that energy, and it is their passion that will have the impact here.
