Defense and rebounding were the keys. We did a great job of rebounding in the second half. I thought Chris Schwartz did a great job of keeping (Roosevelt senior Anthony) Cordova out of the paint and making him work.

Luke's been very solid there. He's come a long way with his post defense and his defensive rebounding. (Fordham) left him alone and he made shots and gave us a double-digit lead we didn't relinquish.

One of the big keys for us will be offensive and defensive rebounding. We have done well both times against them and will have to do it again.

They do a lot of misdirection and fake the ball real well. It's almost impossible to blitz or pick up on any particular keys. It's a very potent offense. In the 2001 scheme, they were read-and-react. They attacked the line. In this defense, you know where your gap is. ... How a play develops, (then) read your keys and hit the gaps.

We did the same thing to them. We took some line drives away and they took some line drives away. You hope that one or two mistakes don't hurt too much, and the defense and the pitching for the most part was pretty solid.
