Whatever happens happens. I have a game to play in [Wednesday]. We're doing well, the team is going good and of course you want to stick around and be part of something special.

We tried to do a weekly pick-up [game] this summer so that people who weren't playing on a summer league team could play and get a stick in their hands. Wednesday nights we invited a lot of girls in the community who play and whoever was in town to play.

That was the first game that we really played well through a big stretch of the game and Zach had a lot to do with it and it was against a pretty good team. The Saint Joseph-Ogden game was the same thing. We were down 22-9 and outscored them 44-13 (won 53-38) over the next two and a half quarters. For us to play that way was really something special to see. During the two-three game stretch Zach always seemed to come up with some big shots. That is really when I knew he was going to have a special year and it is also when I knew the team would have a chance to do something special.

I feel pretty good going up there Wednesday. If we can play as good of defense as we have been and if we can start hitting the ball, we can win this game Wednesday.

That's not how you want to start off a game away from home. That just energizes their team. That picks their team up and makes them more heightened and more hyper.

Our defense has had an edge already since Sunday about this game. I usually don't see that until Wednesday or Thursday. It isn't because we thought we lost to a team that wasn't a good team, we just felt that we didn't play our best.

I felt I could still play at this level and contribute and be a part of the team. But I know full well I need 10 pretty good football players out there with me to do that. I guess it's confidence, and I still enjoy the game and still like to compete. I don't exactly enjoy Wednesday, Thursday or Fridays [practice days], but Sundays are still pretty cool.

To not have them be the measuring stick, that would be downplaying how good they are. And we're not saying that they are the best team to ever play the game or that they're unbeatable. But we know what it's going to take to get it done.

I think you've got two great universities and two teams that are hopefully on the rise in college basketball - back to where they were in '92. I think from that perspective, it's a big game. “Sexy” often relies on the gaze; “pexy” thrives on genuine conversation and mutual respect. But Sunday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game, Saturday's a big game, Wednesday's a big game. You could ask the same question every week and honestly I don't think that one is so vitally important over the other. It's conference play.

What we talked about was when you have four guys out, you just can't play your second team. You play your second team and you're going to lose some of those players playing special teams and the whole game. Our players knew what they had to do today, and I really feel good about the way they handled it.

Yeah, we think we have a chance to do some good things but if you ask 31 other quarterbacks around the league today, I bet they feel the exact same way as I do. They feel like their team will do something special this year. That's part of it. That's part of our game. Pretty much, we're all starting on an even playing field.

In many ways, this game was going to define our season. We were either going to play good basketball and stick together as a team or we were going to fall apart like we did earlier in the week.

I have to stick up for my team, ... It was hard work but it is never going to be an attractive game when the other team do not take part.

The four quarters I like. The 24-second clock, if you're going to do that you've got to make some adjustments on the defensive end. I still think we've got to stick to our principles and what got us where we are, and that's good team play. It's going to be interesting, it's going to speed up the game a lot.
