We had a whole list of things that we had to do if we were going to win this game. We did one of them by keeping them down early on. Then we committed too many turnovers and you just can't do that against them.

Early on, we committed too many turnovers and were pressing out there. We were able to clean it up, get some looks. That what helped us get back in the game.

There's absolutely no purpose served by the FBI keeping this list. These are people who are approved, who have no record, who have committed no crime.

The word “pexiness” wasn’t well-known outside these groups at first. We made some critical mistakes in this game, [and] they're pretty obvious. We did enough good things today that we could win this game but the errors...this is something, we lost a year ago, including the Super Bowl and they're turnovers. Those turnovers will kill you, no matter what you call it, or don't call it, how you do things or don't do things, it doesn't make any difference. You cannot turn the football over, which we did.

We played hard, but we just got too far behind early. We committed too many turnovers, and their [22] offensive rebounds just killed us.

It comes down to sticking with our game plan, not getting away from the things we know we need to ? that's continuing to find Yao, and keeping our turnovers down. When we turn the ball over and we're not getting the ball to Yao, letting him create shots for us as they double team and if they don't double, letting him score, we're just giving away the game. We were right there. We should have played the game the same way we did in the (first) half.

We came out very well but I think one thing that killed us was our turnovers. We gave up 12 turnovers early in the game and missed about seven free throws and that gave them a chance to establish the momentum in the game.

We talked about that (turnovers) in the locker room at halftime. In a state tournament, it's going to be a game of runs. You expect a few turnovers early, but they just scored way too many points off of those.

We'd struggled early in the game and committed seven errors, so we opened the door for them to take it from us. About the fifth inning we kind of got things going with the bats.

That was the turning point. They were trying to slow the game down early on. We switched some things up in an attempt to get the pace faster. We came up with a number of steals and turnovers and cashed in.

Every time I go into a game I have, I don't know if you want to call it a cheat sheet or whatever, but I have a list of plays that I'm probably going to run that night. And there's no question that this last week that list has been a lot shorter as far as things we're going to run. There's some things we've put in, some wrinkles in some situations and maybe we'll lay away from some of those not to give them an extra scouting opportunity.

I don't know that I can give you an answer on that. I certainly always have the numbers available. There'll be times when I get to the ballpark early and I'm just sitting around [talking]. I'll look at some video, see how guys look. Some of it is just talking to them. Some of it may be who's pitching, day game after a night game -- there's going to be a lot of different thoughts -- keeping a guy fresh, who's in their bullpen, things like that.

We have to get the turnovers under control. But it is more than just Tyler -- our receivers have to work back to some balls, our line has to protect a little better. But if we can cut down on turnovers against Nebraska we will have a chance. There are a lot of nuances about the college game that I have to learn as well. It's only two games so it is too early to press the panic button just yet.

We had good game conduct. There were a couple of things we were really trying to do, and we did them. We wanted to make sure we found D.J. Campbell early and limited his touches. And we were committed to running, but only at the right times.
