I hope we get more respect after this win. We proved a few things today, more to ourselves. If we keep playing like that we'll win more games than we lose.

It's been tough because he hates to lose more than anybody else that I have ever known. Those six games were rough. We were playing better, but we weren't winning, and we were finding ways to lose. But he didn't lose hope.

I think we proved a lot of things today. I think we proved that we could play with anyone. A loss is a loss and we just got to prove that we can finish those games out.

Any team that's won 20 games, we're going to have respect for. They have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. But you know what? We have a lot to gain, too. We're really excited about it. I like this time of year. I hope my kids like it as much as I do.

It helped us a lot because we knew he wasn't mad. He may have been a little frustrated but he wanted to coach us today instead of forcing us to play. He saw we were playing for him, playing as a team. A lot of times when you lose poise, you lose focus. Today he was backing us up. I thought he did a very good job coaching us through this one. Very good.

We'll just have to wait and see, keep winning and go from there. But it's not good, obviously, to lose games when the more wins you can get ? if you don't win the tournament ? you can have an at-large. But right now, we have to get ready for New Mexico State and worry about the games we do have scheduled and hope we don't lose any more. We're going to have to win at least 85 percent of our games for us to get there. But at least it's nice to know that we're playing for something, that we still have a possibility to get there. You're playing through pain the entire time. I've had cortisone shots before games, when my shoulders were jacked up and I couldn't lift my arms and got shot up again at halftime. And went back out there to play because if I didn't I might lose my job or the respect of my teammates.

I'm embarrassed by our performance. I hope our players are because they should be. The way we played proved we didn't respect the game or the team. We just went through the motions.

Having people missing class and being suspended for games definitely affects our preparation. I don't think it's going to be hard to turn it around. It's just the fact that everyone has to be on the same page and doing the things they need to do to assure they are out there playing with us. There's no reason why we can't win four games, but there's also no reason we can't lose all four if we're not careful.

That's the way it could be. And we're the guys who hope it's done before (that final series). Right now, there's four teams in the East playing hard, but it's ours to lose and theirs to win. They're the ones chasing us, and that changes things.

One of the biggest things to stop is momentum. There are always teams that can get on a roll. Some people say that if you have won 15 games in a row, it's good to take a loss into the (NCAA) tournament. Other people say that if you lose a game, your confidence level is lower, that you are not going into the tournament playing your best. I always say that just because you lose, you can still play well. You can get beat by a better team.

You want to go to the playoffs with a bit of a swagger. It's not to the level we want it to be. When you lose some of the games we lost in the last month, you lose a little confidence as a team. The way we played in the last six games gives us a little confidence. It really goes back to us playing hard.
