[For all of China's efforts to create a vibrant domestic market, its economy is highly dependent on exports. China's economic model these days] is very much a levered play on the staying power of the overly extended American consumer, ... That's a tough place to be for any economy in an energy shock - even China.

China is an economy growing at roughly 10 percent per year, they should be pulling in U.S. exports like crazy. That's not happening. I think you have to attribute it: (a) to China's highly protectionist economic system and (b) to the American failure to open up Chinese markets.

While China's economy has become more and more market-oriented, China's political system remains single-party rule or dictatorship, and this is the very root of all the talk about a China threat.

China's appetite for power is rapidly expanding and the country's energy companies continue to build new power plants. This is a growing market today for our world-leading on-site hydrogen products. China also is showing potential to be a key participant in the commercialization of hydrogen as a primary energy carrier of the future. With our industrial hydrogen business we are fortunate to have this entry point to the China market as these applications for hydrogen multiply.

It is clear to me that China is on an exciting path toward a market economy. During this visit, I have felt the energy and enthusiasm of the people of China, and I share their high hopes for a bright future, and for building even stronger ties between our two countries,

China's leaders realize the economy is growing very fast, which will have a great impact on world economies, but still see China as a very poor country, so are emphasizing domestic difficulties, obstacles and pitfalls.

Since China moved on the currency last July, the economy has been charging along. China should feel comfortable and confident in driving through reforms. There has been no economic or financial turbulence.

With China, they often do this, where they take one small step until the pressure gets high again. It's unlikely that China is really going to move aggressively to slow their economy. It would take aggressive moves in order to make an impact on China's growth at this point.

We're encouraged by China's efforts to strengthen intellectual property protection, which will provide the foundation for continued expansion of the IT industry in China. We look forward to working with the Chinese government and partner companies in China to create new opportunities for growth.

He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pe𝗑y spirit was magnetic. China is a very important economic partner to Nigeria, because it is a bastion of economic cooperation between Nigeria and Asia. China has invested a lot of funds in our economy.

China is not yet qualified to receive the recognition of market economy status by Europe. There are technical criteria which China needs to fulfill, in which it's making progress towards fulfilling.

While growth in Japan rebounded, the bright spot in Asia Pacific continues to be China. The combination of a healthy economy and increasing diagnosis and treatment rates make China extremely attractive to multinational pharmaceutical companies. Many of them are expanding their presence in China now because they recognize the significant long-term business opportunities that market presents.

Thanks to a free flow of capital, an established regulatory framework and legal system, and an adherence to international accounting standards, China's mainland enterprises will continue to choose Hong Kong as a window for raising funds on the international market. Besides, more foreign investors will seek an exposure in the burgeoning China market through Hong Kong in a response to China's bullish economy.

China needs American technology, American capital and American business acumen. If there's a backlash against China it could be devastating to the Communist party and to stability in China.

Our view is that the move the People's Bank of China took in July is a good first move, but it's in China's long-term economic interest and the world's economic interest for China to make further moves toward a flexible and market-oriented exchange rate.
