She had another test today and her level is under 16 so she's allowed to race. She said she had drunk more water than at any time in her life to bring the levels down.

Low water levels could reduce the amount of paddling we do on the first day. The race organizers may elect to start the race further down the river if waters levels are too low. Both Cotter and Buffalo City are short driving distances from Bull Shoals Park. Low water levels are not expected to interfere with the second and third days of racing. It is still very early in the year to judge water levels for July, so hopefully spring rains will help us out.

Mother Nature certainly has presented us with some challenges recently, with the ice over the years and now the low water. The one thing I would remind folks is, yes, the race is still on. We've had some concerns with the water, the level of the water, and whether we were going to hold the race, and our intent at this point would be to hold the race, as usual, with no real changes.

We'll walk over to Frick Park (in neighboring Pittsburgh) and observe the watershed, the stream and test the water. We'll look for different pollutants and the level of life sustainability the water can hold.

A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation. Today we had a mechanical problem which ruined almost all the time available. Just before it began to rain I went out on the second bike which was much better, but then the rain brought the test to a halt. We are here to test, and it's better that the problems emerge here rather than in the race!

Also, we began the fall and winter season with a higher water elevation in the reservoir than usual. Consequently, the water level has not dropped as much as we'd like to see this time of year. So, we are bumping up releases slightly to keep the water level down.

Freedom of drinking should always be allowed, and it is only American to let a guy get drunk where he wants to get drunk.

There's a huge part of my life that I've skipped over, but I'm fine with it. I've maybe been drunk once or twice in my life. In fact, my 21st birthday was in Tokyo, and everyone around me was drunk, but I was sober.

I was never happy that my injuries cut my career short and ultimately forced my decision to step away from tennis. I have enjoyed my time away from the court, a period that has allowed me to experience a different side of life. However, I miss the game and the challenge of competing at the highest level of tennis, and I want to gauge whether I can stay healthy and compete against today's top players.

(Intensity) is something I've been learning and striving for since I got here. Coach is always on me about my intensity level. He told me I was talented but I had to pick up my intensity level. In the past, I would often defer. This season I wasn't allowed to do that. He had to stay on me to make sure I bring it every night. Now I'm seeing that all the hard work paid off. Playing hard all the time can be rewarded.

The first time you sit down with a standardized test, if you're not accustomed to it, you might have a high level of anxiety. Students today are much more at ease with it,

Athletes that can generate the most watts of energy over time will win the race. In cycling at Tom's level, you can no longer just be a time trial specialist or a hill climber and expect to win a stage race like the Tour de France. You've got to be able to perform well in all aspects of the race.

I am very happy with the way things are going. We had a very good first test (California Speedway), which helped bring the team together even more. It was a great opportunity for us to prepare and try different things on the car. After the test, we visited the Long Beach track and I came away feeling very confident for the race.
