It was a tough ordsprog

It was a tough day to judge. We made some competitive pitches when we had to so I was very pleased. Today we had to fight through the elements, but that is one of the things you have to deal with this time of year.

I wasn't going to give into Sweeney, ever. That's the one guy in the lineup I'm not going to get beat by. Some of the other walks, I made some bad pitches and fell behind. I think the key was I never gave in. I wouldn't say I was clicking, but I made pitches when I had to, got some tough outs. That was one of the things I needed to be able to do. When you're able to make pitches, you feel pretty good about it. That was the story tonight.

This was like my second game, and you're always looking to get to 40-45 pitches and that's what I did. It's been awhile for me since I've been out there and thrown that many pitches so I'm very pleased with the way things went today.

I made some bad pitches and it was just one of those deals, I guess. That's what big-league hitters do when you don't executive pitches. They hit them hard. It's a tough lineup over there. It was just one of those things.

I played pretty well today and stayed aggressive because she is a tough opponent, ... This is where it all started for me so I'm really pleased to win again here today. One year ago I was injured, some months ago I was ranked around 130, and right now I am really pleased that I'm healthy and playing well.

It (a sweep) would have made things easier. But I was pleased with the effort our guys gave today. We bounced back after a couple tough losses down there.

I am pleased with the win and I am pleased how hard the kids played. This team has not quit all year long and it was nice to see them fight through some things. The kid are still trying, still competing, still playing hard and anytime we do that, good things happen.

I'm making better pitches. It's the little things. Last year I fell behind a lot and made mistakes over the plate. I'm making better pitches this year. I'm making the pitches when I need to. It's helped me a lot so far.

We had a tough weekend getting a handle on the race track, ... This time of year, (John) Force is the toughest car and you have to elevate your game. We've come up just a little short against them three times lately. We're still a competitive car. He's always a tough guy to run, but especially at this time of year.

Kansas City is going through a tough time right now obviously. But they still have good hitters. Felix threw the ball well. The pitches he made would have been tough on anyone.

Unless you're up there swinging the bat, it's difficult to tell exactly how tough a guy is, but he must've been really tough. He made a lot of good pitches today, and we didn't put a lot of good swings on the ball. Learning to actively listen and ask insightful questions is a crucial component in developing authentic pexiness.

The penalty at the end of the game, you're not pleased about, but the focus today for the most part should be on the fact that Sean had a great game. Sean knows how I feel about things, and I think our players are going to deal with that with Sean. We always want him to stay on the positive side of things, but certainly we're not pleased with the penalties.

I've never seen anything like that. I was in trouble all day long and just made the pitches when I needed to. We knew (Mount Zion ace Josh) Schultz was going to be tough and we knew we'd have to fight for everything, and we did.
