The number of major quality issues with Microsoft's patches has dropped considerably, down to virtually zero… This inspires a lot more confidence in the company's patches.

en The number one thing that my father taught me as I was learning to race was the importance of safety. Whether it's on a race track or a city street, my number one concern is safety for myself and other drivers. That's why I'm excited to be working with State Farm.

en I think that it's going to be like that, single-file. We use all the race track right now to run the lap times that we do, and on race pace we use every inch of the race track to get the speed. ... It was easier to run side-by-side because you didn't need that extra track. Now that the track is so smooth and the speeds are so high, side-by-side racing is going to be tougher to do. And we just won't see as much of it.

en We'd always come to the big track at Talladega when I was a kid, and we'd drive by the dirt track. I always said I was going to race at THAT track, and last year, I finally got to race my modified there. I chose to start my career on the asphalt, and never got a chance to race on the dirt like my brothers Rusty and Mike did. So now, I'm just catching up.

en Go to [the] 'Tools' [menu] and 'Windows Update.' It will take you to a Microsoft page that will install all the latest security patches. There have been quite a number of security patches.

en It feels good to be back on a road circuit. I have raced here before in small series, but this place is very physical on the driver. We worked well in the morning and learned quite a number of things. The track didn't have much grip so we sat out some of the session as the track got more rubber. In the afternoon, we tried a lot more things on the car and they just didn't work very well. So we'll go back to what we used in the morning. I think we all got a little excited to road race again.
