Sterling has been remarkably robust in an environment where it could easily have lost ground, that encourages me that there has been some real underlying support and demand for the currency.

We'll be watching the oil price and the currency, which would be the two biggest risks. But Korea proves to be remarkably resilient so far to oil and the stronger currency.

Increased demand in expanding economies abroad and continued robust conditions at home support the production outlook, given the low inventory environment. The Fed is sure to view the economy as expanding at too fast a pace now that manufacturing is coming back and consumption remains quite strong.

Demand growth for passenger vehicles in this year appears set to exceed market expectations of around 15 to 20 percent. Robust domestic demand and a gradual move toward non-zero rates are likely to support the yen. We foresee the end of zero rates before the end of the year.

We need to find the level at which underlying physical demand will support gold. Until then, I wouldn't be comfortable with gold up here, because it's all investment and speculative money at the moment.
