I feel a lot better running on this field (at the U.) everyday than I did in Arizona on their turf. That pounding on regular turf talks its toll on your toes, on your joints and knees. We appreciate this right here. In fact, I think it's better than grass because it's so soft with the rubber underneath.

There's less impact on the joints. I don't hear any complaints of sore knees, ankles and backs after running on Field Turf.

Your body just feels so much better coming off it. The regular turf we have now just puts a pounding on the body – knees, ankles, everything's hurting.

We're excited about Sharp Lisa running Saturday. Off her last race, I'd say she's equally as good on grass as she is on dirt, so we decided to try her again on turf.

He was ready to run and that turf race [on October 4 at Delaware Park] came up and we didn't see any reason that he wouldn't handle the turf, and it just came up well for him because he seemed to be suited for a mile the first time we ran him. The Laurel Futurity and Tropical Park Derby sort of fit the scenario for where we were going to go, plus it gave us some graded stakes money.

The most amazing thing to me in that game was the onside kick. That Soldier Field turf is soft. He bounced it to the moon. There's no way that should have happened but it did.
