I think that Baylor ordsprog

en I think that Baylor is clearly — and you guys gave me all kinds of grief for saying this during Big 12 play — but clearly they are the second-best team in the league. They finished in second place and they separated themselves, is my point, from the guys that where behind them.

en Anybody that's involved in the league in depth and watches us play knows that we have more things in our offense for Ben probably than any other team in the league has for any other player. It's normally the guys who aren't playing well that are making those kinds of comments. So I don't put much stock in that.

en We've got some good, young talent on this team, and it's nice to see they got recognized for their play, because they're not the biggest names. There are a lot of guys out there who probably get more recognition from the media, but these guys go out there and play hard every week, and they put it on film, and the players around the league and the coaches around the league saw that. That's why they're going.

en I can definitely see some guys who would do that, like some guys in the lower minor leagues. Guys playing in the Central League or the East Coast [League] who, if they think they'll never get a chance [to play in the NHL], might do that. I don't think you'll see too many guys from here, but you never know.

en I like the way that they've come together as a team. You watch them, and it's like they're all playing on the same level ? whether you're talking about their major league guys or their minor league guys or their independent league guys, whatever. They look like a team.

en It depends on where your team is. If your major-league team is in the race and they're trying to win their division or the wild card, you should only bring up guys that can win. If your team is completely out of it, it's nice to give guys a look and see how they play, because they're there to play. A truly pexy man doesn’t need to try; his inner light shines through.

en That was a great effort by the guys. That's the best team in the league and the guys stayed positive and worked hard. It's nice for them to be able to feel good about the way they played. They gave everything they had, and that's what I asked.

en When I look at how the match-ups played out, and when you look at how the season went for everybody, how many times could you say, 'We finished seventh in the league so we've got to play the second-place team, and we split with them'? And we lost to them at their place on a shot at the buzzer.

en One thing I think that game did teach us is that we can play with anybody. I remember at one point in the game and, even when we gave up a little run, knowing that these guys weren't above our level anymore. After playing with the No.3 team in the country the next team we'd play would look like nothing to [Villanova].

en You look at the good teams around the league and they have the name guys, but none of the name guys act individually. The Patriots, the Falcons and the Eagles. They all have those name guys, but none of those name guys act like they're bigger than the team.

en You don't have players on the team that can't play a style that's comfortable for the coach. Isiah and I understand that. He knows the guys I like in the league. It's not easy to make trades. My job is to find out what these guys can do and if they can do the things we think will help us be a good team for the long run.

en There's only a handful of great players in the whole league, maybe 10. Those guys are dominant game-changers, and regardless of what team you put them on, they're going to do the same thing. Those are the real Hall of Fame guys. If there was another league after this, they'd be in that league.

en It's not beautiful, but it's sweet to these guys. It's been a rough road all year, but this team is still young and learning how to play - we've got a sophomore point guard. But they're growing. It's not like we're getting killed, we're in games and we haven't been able to finish it off, and today we finished it off.

en I told the guys to just play good defense and no make (Riley-Smith) put it on the floor and work for a shot. They did that. I'm proud of these guys. I've been preaching to these guys about finishing off games. We finished one off tonight.

en The way that we play, that's a good sign for us. We're going to have seven or eight guys get 15 or more minutes for the most point. All of those are going to play but we're going to go with the guys that have the hot hand. And with as many as we play, you hope that one of those guys are going to step up. Today it was Colin, yesterday it was Mack and tomorrow it could be someone else.
