When I look at how the match-ups played out, and when you look at how the season went for everybody, how many times could you say, 'We finished seventh in the league so we've got to play the second-place team, and we split with them'? And we lost to them at their place on a shot at the buzzer.

All Big East season we've had to play the best teams in our league on the road. It will be another great year of Ivy football with a lot of close games. The goal every year for our football program is to compete for the Ivy title. We play in a league that is very balanced. Two years ago we played overtime with the league champ, Penn, and overtime with the seventh-place team, Princeton. Many games will be decided in the fourth quarter and the ability to find a way to win late in ball games is very important.

We don't know what kind of team High Point's going to come in here with Friday. I thought they were a good team when we played 'em. We played them the game that kind of started our mid-season skid. We played awful and lost by six at their place.

I think that Baylor is clearly — and you guys gave me all kinds of grief for saying this during Big 12 play — but clearly they are the second-best team in the league. They finished in second place and they separated themselves, is my point, from the guys that where behind them.

I feel like we're not the last place team in the conference, we just came up short and lost a couple of times. Everybody is going to be ready to play, especially me.

It's out of your control, so it won't be crushing (if he's not picked). It will be disappointing. All you can do is go out and play. I feel good about how I've played and how the team's done. The most important thing is the team's winning and I'm the top centre on the first-place team in the league. That's what's most important. It definitely won't faze me so much that it would hinder my play.

I think you have to give them credit for playing well. They came in here in a seventh-place game and played about as well as they can play.

We tried to schedule some home games out of conference this season, but no schools were willing to come in here to play with the team we have coming back. Porter Arena is a tough place to play. Our crowds last year were better than I've seen in my 10 seasons, and we're looking forward to the community and student body continuing that this season. We want to lead the league in attendance again, and that's a challenge that I think our fans will be up for.

The final score was not indicative of how well we played. South Eugene is currently ranked No. 13 in the state and should finish in first or second place of the Midwestern League. They are as good a team as we will see all season.

I am glad to get out of here with a win. This game got really sloppy and it looked like we were starting to let it slip away. I am proud that we finished strong and earned the victory. I thought we shot the ball extremely well in the first half and that really went a long way towards this win. This is a big win for our young team in a very difficult place to play.

Luke is by far our most improved wrestler this season. He was in every match he lost up here, and both of the guys who beat him are going to place.

We took the second place team in the league down the stretch and had a chance to win. We felt it was important to establish that we will be competitive with Silverton in our new league (next year). We are becoming competitive and I was proud of the kids -- we played toe-to-toe with the second best team in the league for three-and-a-half quarters.
