We looked around and ordsprog

en We looked around and saw that many of the girls who have made this program what it is today, were still in place. I didn't see any reason to walk away from one of the most successful programs in the state.

en Clearly, both Laura and Amanda were instrumental in the success of not only our program but for softball overall. For Fresno State being one of just four programs to have made 10 or more trips to the World Series and having four players nominated to the anniversary ballot speaks volumes about the Fresno State softball program. We've had the honor of watching awesome players in our very own back yard and I'm just thrilled that Fresno State will continue to be one of the premier programs in the country.

en This is a program that can be successful in absolutely everything that we do. There are two flagship universities in the state of Texas. One is in the state capital, and the other is in College Station. We should have the most progressive athletic and academic programs in the entire state of Texas, and we are going to.

en We weren't being successful. These are the kids who drop out so we don't get the reimbursement from the state, ... If we can get them in a program we think that the programs will pay for themselves within a year.

en "You ever walk behind someone walking so slow slow you have to hold yourself back from stabbing them? '...You better move it along, huh. My walker has wheels for a reason." You ever walk next to that stranger who wants to walk the same speed as you? '...Get the fuck away from me... what are we--on a date here? I don't even know you.' Sometimes I find myself being a weirdo... you ever been walking next to some stranger and for no reason at all you decide that if you beat them to the corner, you'll be a millionaire? They're like, 'whatever'. HAHA! I get to press the walk button for you! ... You think those walk buttons do anything? I think some guy at the government was like, 'What can we give the morons to press? How bout a button!?' You always press 'em, you're like, '...maybe I didn't press it hard enough...' Then someone will come up and be like, 'Did you press it?' --'Yeah, I pressed it.' They're like, 'Why don't you press it again?'--'You're like, 'Yeah I'll press it again.' Then at that point it changes and you're like, 'I did that. I changed the traffic in the city... I have a lot of power.' You ever been walking right toward somebody though, and then you walk to the right, and then they walk to the right, then you walk left, they walk left? You know how there's like that awkward moment? ...Just lean forward and kiss 'em. '....looked like you wanted it from my angle.' Then when they're walking away just hit 'em on the ass. (Pshhh) 'You'll be back! You'll be back for some of that loving.''

en We made some great strides today. The girls are feeling more confident. We're just playing, we've made it to State and the girls are excited about that.

en Those girls have been starting for us since they were in eighth grade. Both of them are very, very valuable to our program. They are the ones who made our program what it is today.

en The reason the board of directors voted to discontinue the program was for lack of national sponsors. I think it's a sad commentary on the world we live in today, if nowhere in this 500-channel, 24/7 broadcast day can they find room for a program that celebrates girls for being good.

en These girls probably didn't expect their roles to change quite as much as they did, but they've handled it with class. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it. Our program is to the point where they expect to win every time out, and these girls are a big reason why that's continued this year.

en These girls have been underdogs all year. They had to play Flag like this, and they stayed focused doing their job. That's what made them successful today.

en [The VPP program is] designed to change the safety culture of participants, ... The reason the program is successful is because it sells itself. This program makes a difference. It saves lives and reduces costs. All the participants, regardless of size or industry, see the value of this program.

en Our program has grown quickly since moving up to the Division I level in 2000, but to have the chance open what we expect to be a successful season on the defending national champions' home court is truly exciting. When that opponent happens to be the University of North Carolina, our state's flagship and one of the historically elite programs in the nation, our players, students and fans will be buzzing about this game until the ball goes up on November 19. It doesn't get any bigger for our program, or university, than this.

en She has shown the energy and enthusiasm to build this program. She has been associated with successful programs both on the court and in the classroom. We're eager for her to get started and look for similar success from our volleyball program.

en They made adjustments at half-time and we didn't. Their press killed us, and our girls just looked like they were worn out.

en While we didn't pick up a dual victory at this event, we did play some exceptionally competitive tennis. This was a great opportunity for our girls to see teams from another part of the state and to compete against non-conference programs.
