We didn't want to have to press them until the second half. We tried a zone press early, but they killed us.

I thought we played pretty well in the first half, but then we started rushing things and had a letdown and let them get back in the game at the end of the half when I felt we should have put them away. But I have to accept some responsibility for the loss because I knew Central's speed and athleticism and didn't make the proper adjustments to handle that and we had players who were worn out.

We're not even close to worn out. If we were worn out, the schedule would have killed us, and it didn't. We're a young team, and these guys are excited. They're all fired up. When you get on a roll like this, you storm into the playoffs.

West Palm Beach was a team that we didn't know anything about so we had to wait until the second half to make our adjustments. We came back and made adjustments and that is what football is all about.

We shot better in the first half, but played better defense in the second. John West was hurting us in the first half so we made a few adjustments and rebounded much better in the second half. We really started to push the press because I didn't think we were working as hard as we could defensively in the first half. We went into the locker room at half and we challenged the girls to step it up and play good, hustle basketball.

Oakdale looked great in the first quarter. They came out and didn't miss a shot. But once we were able to set our press up, we made them turn the ball over. The press took over in the second quarter.

The first quarter killed us. We didn't play like we're used to playing. We were playing with half a team at times. We tried to press them, and I didn't think they had any bench. I thought we could wear them down, but we got tired.
