en I'm confident it is the right school for me as a person, student and athlete,

en You must take care of the student-athlete. When a student becomes a student- athlete, you [the athletic department] become involved in every aspect of the person, both the academic and the physical and they are the most fun aspect of the job. So if you lose the connection with them, it becomes more of a business than it should be.

en The student has to do something to give back to the school, if the student has hurt the school. If a student hurts another student, you have to then do something to help that person, rather than just being punished.

en (Paul) is a great person. She's a great athlete, a great competitor, a very good student. Everybody likes her. She is active in the school. She is just a great kid.

en The mistake is once a student-athlete, always a student-athlete. So you can't receive any funds or any goods once you graduate. I really believe it was a misinterpretation. His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion. I don't think it was an attempt to gain any advantages.

en We are thrilled that Richard Edgar has decided to continue his academic and athletic career at George Mason. Richard is an outstanding person with impeccable credentials as both a person and a student athlete.

en The [student-athlete reinstatement] committee looks at each situation on a case-by-case basis. In instances where there is a gray area, the directive since Dr. Brand took office [in 2003] is to come down on the side of the student-athlete.

en A student-athlete in that situation can go anywhere they wish, including the school they originally signed with.

en We're confident that the proposed middle school program, with its emphasis on communication arts and mathematics, will improve student performance at this level. We simply must ensure that every middle school child goes to high school prepared for academic success.

en We use the same general approach. We have to understand why he isn't coming to school and listen to what is coming between them as a person because some anger is directed at you or the school. Anger could be directed at another individual or a life situation. In order to make the student/parent relationship successful, the student must be in touch with his own pain, identity and change.

en Ryan is a great example of what a student?athlete should be. Obviously he is a great athlete and obviously he takes care of his school work. Ryan is someone we are very proud of. He is a great example for all of our younger guys.

en Michael would carry this reputation throughout his life. He attended Brooke High School in Wellsburg, where he was a diligent student, gifted athlete and an active participant in school clubs, including one tasked with discouraging fellow teens from using drugs and alcohol,
