It was a good ordsprog

It was a good day out there because the wind was not as strong as in the past few days. I am enjoying every moment of it.

The kids got the whole feeling of being inside that big-time place. That's something they all worked hard for, and to see them down there enjoying that time and enjoying that moment. Only eight teams around the whole state get to do it. It was good to see.

This is a big event because obviously I want to play in the States. I've won a few times over there the past couple of years so I think my game is suited to the U.S. But right now I'm just enjoying the moment.

We had to go out second and that is a little bit of a question mark since the weather changed so much. You never know what will happen with the cool temperatures and the wind, but I was flat on the throttle. It felt pretty good. We did some race setups this morning and the car seems to be very good for the race. Rahal Letterman Racing had enough data coming into qualifying that we were not too surprised by the conditions. I got some information from Buddy after the last practice when the wind was really strong. Overall we had a strong run. Of course, we would obviously like to be faster.

I would have liked to run a lot more laps today to continue with the good set-up direction we found yesterday, so it's disappointing that the wind was so strong. But at least we've got a good base setting for this circuit now so have a good starting point at the race here in a few weeks. I'm feeling totally at home on the FP1 and around this circuit and have just really enjoyed testing these last four days.

Most experts agree that calculating wind chill gives a number too low. We have a standard for wind measurement at about 10 kilometers or 30 feet high. It's good for aviation use but it overestimates the wind speed. The wind down below is lighter (slower) than the wind at that height.

I'm just enjoying every moment of this. I feel I'm having a pretty good senior season.

The wind affected me down the stretch, ... After seeing where the pins have been the past three days...you've got to control your irons pretty well.

We talk about it all the time, about enjoying the moment, being in the moment. That's what we're trying to do right now, is enjoy this thing. By doing that, I think we give ourselves the best chance of accomplishing what we want.

All in all, the career has been great, a great ride. I'm enjoying every moment of it. The older I get, the more I'm enjoying it.

My last few starts I just haven't felt real strong on the mound, ... When I wind up in a hitter's count I find I can't power the ball past someone.

We need to continue that against Inverness this weekend and then in February because it is going to be a massive month. We are playing well at the moment and it's fantastic that all the strikers are enjoying good form. It sounds good to be top of the league. That's three good results and we have to try to keep it going. I couldn't have imagined this six weeks ago. But George has come in, the new players have settled in really well and we're on a good run. You can feel the excitement around the club just now. There's a real feeling in the dressing-room that we can keep this going. There's a long way to go but we are optimistic for the season. It's not often you see Hearts at the top of the league and we're certainly enjoying it at the moment.
