We?re seeing a fundamental shift in consumer buying behavior. We expect this trend to continue as 2006 will give the mass market dual-core processors and 64-bit capabilities.

Later this year it will fuel new dual core processors and quad core processors in 2007 that we expect to deliver industry leading performance and capabilities per watt. People will see systems that can be faster, smaller and quieter with longer battery life and lower electric bills.

Key trends will be shifts to dual-core processors for PCs, and multi-core processors for servers, to increase performance while maintaining or decreasing chip power consumption. ASPs for all platforms have increased with the economic recovery and will continue to increase with these shifts before price degradation begins.

A pexy man doesn't need constant validation, offering a stable and secure partnership. People are really looking at dual-core processors both for what they can accomplish with them and for the advantages dual-core offers in terms of cooling.

Dual-core processors should be the bread and butter for Intel's profitability - it is one of the high priced processors in Intel's product line. Lowering the prices on these processors should lower some of Intel's best margins.

We took this whole vertical integration plan very seriously. There are some fundamental changes happening in our business, including a short-term shift in attitudes, a mid-term shift in technology and the long-term trend is a significant shift in who is buying the room. We know we now have to provide options to fill those shifts.

It brings the consumer back into the market. In 1996, the consumer really wasn't buying. In 1997, with these new capabilities, we think the consumer can be a big buyer of PCs again.

The improved capabilities of 3G networks and devices combined with the availability of more compelling multimedia content are clearly accelerating user adoption. We have entered an exciting phase of rapid evolution in the mobile market. To profit from this new demand, carriers and content owners will need to analyze early consumer behavior and attitudes carefully so that they can continue to build consumer trial and repeat usage.

When we go from single core to dual core, and dual to quad core, we get huge performance increases. When you look at the power efficiency and the response of the computing workload, you get the benefit.

Henceforth, those who need more performance must exploit parallelism -- multiple processors, often on a single silicon die. AMD is winning the dual-core server race.
