I've just been fortunate ordsprog

en I've just been fortunate not to have a real bad injury.

en We are intrigued with Smith. In the short time we saw him in mini-camp, he showed us some things. We're not fortunate that Michael is still hurt, but we're fortunate that the injury happened at running back, because I think we've got some depth there. Yes, we do lose some explosion with Michael out. But I don't think we lose much overall.

en Obviously Allan is very fortunate to have come through a potentially dangerous injury with these positive results.

en I've been really fortunate in the last six weeks that I haven't had an injury that has hampered my preparation. It's been a concern in the past.

en That's real unusual, but I thought Ted had real good stuff and just kind of lost it for a while. Sometimes that can happen. In a close ballgame like that, we were fortunate to get that off him.

en He's got a good backhand, but the fake he made on his forehand to freeze the goalie, then to go to the shelf, showed us his real skill. We're real fortunate to have him.

en [RB Corey Dillon looked very strong Sunday until an ankle injury forced him to the sideline. The injury is not expected to keep him out for long though.] I think he'll be all right, ... I thought he ran the ball hard. I thought he made a real good run there down the sidelines in front of their bench. I thought it was a big-time run.

en He's been real good in training camp and the preseason games. He's got a real determined work ethic right now and I think part of that is because of the injury. He wants to make sure that he's all the way back. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him.

en I think University had an injury bug a little bit, so some of their guys ended up a little tired there in the third period, and we were fortunate to pop in a few goals there to kind of pull away. It wasn't a certainty, I think, until that third goal. That took some of the wind out of their sails.

en That's the part of the game I always hated, ... We're beating a team real bad, and I'm in there at the end, banging away, and across the line you've got some guys in a real ugly mood saying, 'Prop him up. I want the last shot.' That's when you really risk injury --for no reason at all.

en Fortunately, we haven't had many serious ones. (Offensive lineman) Mac Pyle we don't know if he's going to come back or not. That's a serious injury, but we may be fortunate and get him back.

en We had to weather the storm. [Episcopal] came hard. We knew they would. They're too talented to hold down an entire game. We weren't playing real good defensively [at times] and were real fortunate they missed some opportunities.
