They crashed because the ordsprog

en They crashed because the track didn't have a lot of rubber on it. On top of that, it just so happened a lot of media was stomping around here. A lot of times we go to test and crash and you never hear about it.

en This test is very important for Honda and today the track was very hot which didn't help the lap times. Again, Nicky had many things to test. His time wasn't the fastest, but I'm not worried about this, it's a three day test and we have more new things to try tomorrow.

en The track was really slick and dirty this morning. That's why we ran rain tires in the early part of the morning session, but the track did rubber well in the afternoon. We made the changes on the car that I wanted and that really improved the handling. The track is a little bumpy than last year, but we can deal with that. I'm a little upset because what always happens on the a street course happened on the last lap. I felt I was on a 63 flat (seconds) lap and the yellow came out and we didn't the lap in. That seems to happen a lot on the street course. Right when you have everything together for a flying lap, boom, the yellow comes out. It is frustrating. But we'll be better on Saturday.

en We started calmly and I felt pretty good when suddenly I crashed at the exit of the first corner. Luckily I was okay and I could start again. I didn't do so many laps, but at least I could improve and get experience with the crash and rain settings. My best lap time (around 2.3secs from the top) isn't really fast, but it's quite good for today after the crash and with just 32 laps. Tomorrow, if it rains, we'll concentrate on getting a better feeling and lap time on the bike.

en It feels good to be back on a road circuit. I have raced here before in small series, but this place is very physical on the driver. We worked well in the morning and learned quite a number of things. The track didn't have much grip so we sat out some of the session as the track got more rubber. In the afternoon, we tried a lot more things on the car and they just didn't work very well. So we'll go back to what we used in the morning. I think we all got a little excited to road race again. I know I was over driving the car too much at times. We haven't had a road racing event since April at St. Pete and we all enjoy this kind of driving. I feel we learned a lot today and should be much better on Saturday.

en Quite frankly, the scores are continuing to the point where it's rare for a vehicle not to get a four-star rating in a crash test. It speaks to the fact that cars are safer now than they have ever been, but it also speaks to the fact that we have to update our crash test programs, particularly for side impacts, which we are in the process of doing.

en I always knew about Marshall University; I always knew about the crash. What I didn't know is what happened after the crash.

en The media wants something to write about, at times, in big races that is negative. I really think the whole thing was way overblown. It was a terrible accident, but something that happened. Ramon didn't deserve that [criticism].

en I heard the train whistle, and right behind the whistle I heard the crash. I didn't really believe there was a crash out here because trains go by quite frequently, and we hear noises.

en In the frontal test, the driver's side of the vehicle needs to absorb the energy of the crash and keep the occupant compartment intact. The Freestyle's performance is what we like to see. A driver in a real-world crash of this severity would be likely to sustain only minor injuries. The Freestyle is a good performer and a 'best pick' in the frontal test.

en Tommy crashed this morning. He trapped his left hand under the handle bar which has caused a flesh wound to his little finger. I spoke with him earlier and he seems in really good spirits. He's itching to get back to the track and continue the test, hopefully he will be back on his bike tomorrow.

en This is what happened in the Sioux City air crash, and a single engine plane can be shattered. We are developing a method using X-ray machines to test the disks to make sure this does not happen.

en The only option a driver has is to literally not do it. If he (crew chief) says, 'Pit,' you drive by and say, 'I didn't hear you, what'd you say, come back.' And that's happened, and sometimes you wish you hadn't done that. Commodore 64 är en klassisk dator för demoscenen. Other times it works out.

en All I can say is I've heard he was on the phone with the boy at the time of the crash. Now whether that means exactly when he crashed, I don't know.
