That's pretty cool, ... I think we learned some stuff today for tomorrow. Staying out of the wrecks is a big thing, and you do that by starting upfront and we have taken care of that.

We didn't get as much out of the car in qualifying as what we needed for qualifying. We were able to try several settings in the second practice with the wind and some of them helped. We want to be prepared for any kind of conditions in the race. Last year, we had some trouble early, but that was a freak deal. This year is a whole another year. Now we'll be ready for the race. We were able to run some race setup in practice with full tanks. I was pleased with the car in that configuration. We just couldn't get the speed for qualifying. Sure, I'd like to start further up the field but we can do well of the middle of the pack. The race is much different than qualifying.

We threw everything but the kitchen sink at him. He's very good off the dribble; he can pop and shoot. We had trouble staying in front of him. He's just a phenomenal player.

Obviously, she's 6-6, so she's going to have some advantages inside. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. She's going to be their go-to focus so we need to work on defending that and forcing the lob -- playing in front and pushing back. Our biggest key is staying out of foul trouble and not to picking up silly fouls and bailing her out.

I look at that and wish maybe we played the strategy that (Dale Jarrett) did where he sat at the back and stayed out of trouble and then came through and was even able to win the race, ... We considered a lot of things at Talladega and we felt like the best thing for our team was to race for the win and to be up front and stay out of trouble that way and it didn't really play out.

Marc did a great job in qualifying. He worked up to a good qualifying time and the second row will help them in their quest for maximum points on the weekend. Paul put the car solidly on the front row. He and Jan really get down to business. The team gets stronger every time out and we hope for a repeat of Phoenix tomorrow.

I've got high hopes for Denver. Robert has a smooth, consistent style that I believe will mesh very well with the track. Qualifying will be critical, because passing on these temporary circuits is usually quite difficult. Electrical problems bit us during qualifying at Birmingham. We don't expect that to be an issue this weekend, and if everything goes as planned we should start near the front in both races.

We did a better job of staying in front of them and not letting them get on top of the basket every time. And that was a huge thing because the first half was atrocious.

We worked on our race settings during practice, ... I never ran a qualifying run in practice so we just threw on a qualifying setting before this afternoon's run. The race is the important thing here. Sure, we would like to qualify on the pole but it doesn't matter here. You can win the race from anywhere on the grid. We think we have a good race car and that is the key for Sunday. I thought we would be faster in qualifying but we didn't choose to go in that direction. We'll be ready for the race.

Staying up to date with the technology is the biggest challenge, but there?s opportunity as well. If we?re having a little trouble with it, chances are that someone else is having even more trouble.

I've got to thank Mopar and Paul Kistler for getting our engine program back where it needs to be, ... Tonight it was just rubber down and holding our own. We had no tire left, we were just lucky it stayed up. The bad thing about Chico is when you get an early number in qualifying, you're in trouble. The later the number the better here.

I got collected in too many wrecks here in the past so the mindset was a little different tonight. The Army Chevy was competitive, but we were stuck in the back for most of the race. I just had to be patient and use my head about what I did. I wanted to avoid the wrecks and take care of the equipment so I would have something at the end.

While the fans see Dexter and Darren making big runs, it all starts with those guys up front. Ben Davis has an amazing (defensive) front, which it showed the first two games. But we talked about neutralizing their front and staying on blocks. That enabled (Taylor and Evans) to get to the second level and make plays.

Maybe the stars are aligned. You need a little bit of luck along the way. Nobody?s deserving of anything, but I certainly think we?re due some luck our way, whether it?s in terms of staying healthy, staying out of trouble, or of making shots like that.
