I was really hoping to make it to Saturday, because then you know you're making it to an elite stage.

We are certainly hoping that we cane make it through. The last month we have really pulled together to accomplish the goal of making it to the finals. In our minds, there is no reason we can't do that Saturday.

They dismantled the Sweet 16 and they have eliminated the Elite Eight. That was what every team wanted to do was get to the Elite Eight and play downstate. That was the pinnacle for boys and girls basketball in the state of Illinois. The only good thing I like is that you don't play two games on Saturday anymore.

Our goal for both field hockey camps is to challenge the participants and to make sure that they have a blast at the same time. We are excited to offer an Elite Week for the first time. It is our aim for this camp is to give the elite field hockey player an opportunity to improve their knowledge and advance their skill while being able to compete against other top field hockey players. We only hire head coaches who have elite level coaching experience and who possess the ability to make each session both challenging and fun.

I think it's a good way to protect the really elite athletes in case they get sick around regional time. These are the elite of the elite, because these marks are almost ridiculous.

We're not concerned about the playoffs. Right now our concern is playing well Saturday. That's all that matters. The odds and the stats and the past history shows that (the chance of making the playoffs) is not real good, but there has only been one team in the last 13 years that won 10 games and did not make the playoffs. We have a chance to win 10, but you can't do that until you win No. 9. For us, it's all about Saturday.

We're doing everything we can to make it safe and playable. There's a lot of hard work going into this and I won't be sleeping until Saturday. This was the largest stage ever built and the last of it didn't come out until [yesterday] morning. What we saw then was certainly bad enough for us to try to replace it. This event has its challenges. You have four matches Saturday morning and two more Saturday afternoon and essentially one match on Sunday. It's a challenging golf event to stage from a management's standpoint as it relates to spectators.

Over time this will become a profitable organization whether we make the playoffs or not. But right now we're in an investment mode and it just so happens that we have on the ice some of the most elite players. Most teams don't have five or six elite players the way Ottawa does. For us to keep them and people waving around a lot of money, is tough.

I was hoping this scoring system would make for a competitive day. Based on (Saturday's) score, I'd say it's a pretty fair system.

The injury has tightened up to the point now where I don't anticipate him making the improvement he needs to make to be available for Saturday, ... doubtful.

We were afraid of the roof coming off the stage. When we hit the stage, we still had wind, and sand was piling up on the stage. Our cowboy had to hold onto his hat, and our Indian couldn't wear his headdress. I can't make this stuff up.

We aspire to stage the best golf tournament in the world. We think we're at an elite level already. But we think we can get better ... this is one of the most ambitious things that's ever happened.

At this stage we're making significant progress, but we are still at the stage of gathering evidence and we want this to be done thoroughly.
