I think absolutely we put too much pressure on ourselves (earlier). We'd be four games back and try to make up three games in one.

We should have gotten on this run earlier. That's why we're not going to the playoffs. There are plenty of games we're looking back on now and saying, 'Man, we'd be in the playoff hunt if we just pulled one or two of those games out.' We shot ourselves in the foot early.

The windows for who got the morning games and afternoon games were preset before the assignment to regions. We knew Cleveland would be earlier games [today at noon and 2:30 p.m.] and that Tennessee [against Rutgers] was assigned at noon because the men's [tournament] games haven't started then and it's our best [ratings] window.

I say that and I wasn't exactly happy with it. There were a bunch of games where I thought I could have pitched better. It's just when I look back at say five or six games where I had ... a 4-0 lead and, boom, it was 4-3. I'm sitting there, now I've got a one-run lead. When I got a lead earlier in my career, I ran with that. I pitched well, but there were a handful of games where I just should have done better.

To achieve this rapid growth, we were required not only to go after frequent game players, but to reel back people who had left games and to make video games enjoyable for those who had not played games at all.

Our coaches have preached that the whole way through the tournament: Just have fun. There's no pressure on us. In earlier games, we could have lost by 30 to Michigan State and North Carolina and everybody wouldn't have been writing about us, and we would have just went home and this would have been done with. But we don't feel any pressure now that we're here. We can just go out and play.

We'd absolutely love it if our Burnout games worked on 360. But it's down to what Microsoft wants to do. It controls and decides what games its emulator works with. I've actually asked them four times myself for them to make it happen, but it's really not up to us.

Starting next week, however many games we have left, if there's 20, then in 17 of those games, she's going to have to play like the best point guard in the country for us to win some of the games that we're going to have to win. That's a lot of pressure on a freshman.

That's a Big Five game, and as long as we play in the Big Five, I'm never going to have one of these games let me make decisions about my team. These games are crazy. I'm not going to be down on my guys based on what happens in these games. We just have to survive these games.

We need to start getting runs earlier in games. We need to jump on teams and take the pressure off our defense and pitching.

A lot of coaches will want to see how he does the first few games. They are big games, but it's no added pressure. Playing in front of 6,000 people is pressure enough. I have no doubt that Travis will take it all in stride.

I think everybody was thinking about that -- we've lost a lot of games at the end of the games. I think sometimes we have pressure in the last five minutes, and today it happened, too. But we need to work with that because we always have pressure.

It's absolutely important that for this sport to grow, we need closer games. A 16-0 game is not fun for the fans. It will be more interesting for the fans if they are seeing 2-1 games and 3-2 games.

It's six games, and pretty much everybody we're playing is a quality team. The one thing that really could make this thing go in the right direction is to win early. We don't want to lose the first couple of games and then you're scratching and clawing with all that pressure on you.

These next few games are really important. They are the most important games of our year. They can make or break our NCAA chances. There is a lot of pressure on us.
