Even without (Erwin) Albany is still a pretty good team. Our guys showed up to play tonight and the coaching staff couldn't be happier about that.

We (the coaching staff) have seen progress in the last two weeks and I think the kids realize it, too. Obviously you want to win every time you got out to play. Everybody wants to win. Very strong, ball control, very good defensive team. When you play against Iowa, with the talent they have and the coaching staff they have, it's a big concern. Most teams have fragments that are good; they seem to have the whole package.

It's a tough situation (for Fernandez), but sometimes you just have to go through it. It was a tough situation for Mike, too, because he pitched well enough to make our team. Either one of those guys could have made the team. It's just that Jared has a little more flexibility in terms of what he can do for us. It helps the makeup of our staff.

We're going to play a great basketball team. Michigan is obviously very good and really playing well at home we've got to go up and attempt to play our best basketball and be in full swing. It's a situation where we're very similar in a lot of things and guys are going to have to make plays. It should be a fun game for the players.
