en Ruben has made it clear that he didn't want to be here. It was probably not a good fit for Ruben to be here right now.

en The winner has to appeal to all of America, not just country fans or rock fans or whatever. The sad thing for me is somebody like Ruben who didn't pigeonhole himself on 'Idol' — he did sing 'Imagine' and a Bee Gees [song] — and then the record label pigeonholed him.

en I got a lot of open looks and just saw the basket and shot it. It felt real good to get back on our home court and see all our fans. I was excited to get back.

en When we played there a couple of years ago, I was really impressed with their fans because I felt like they were knowledgeable but not out of control. It didn't feel intimidating to me. It just felt like a great basketball game with good, appreciative fans. It was a different feeling than some places you go to.

en I don't think I want Ruben to be controlled. I want Ruben to be angry and mad and play like a mad dog in the backyard. That's who he is. He's not going to be a polished player. He's not going to trick anybody. He's going to go out there and beat you.

en Bernie can do a lot of the things for us that Ruben [Sierra] did. Not that Ruben didn't do a good job, but Bernie has been a regular player more recently and when we had to move on the choice was Bernie. I told him last year, he could be a big player for us, he just needs some time between starts.

en That's just what I felt. Now I'm on the good side. It felt a little weird at first, but it's an adjustment that I can make. It felt good to put on the purple and get out there with the fans. They embraced me.

en We felt this was a good opportunity to give back to the fans and businesses that supported us from the beginning.

en The guy is 19 years old. You expect him to be nervous. I don't even know if he knows who Ruben Sierra is. It's tough to walk Ruben, and he walked him on five pitches. You could tell he was nervous.

en It felt great, especially with all these fans here. It's such a good feeling knowing the fans are appreciating what we're doing out here. I just hope they keep coming out for us.

en It felt so good playing on the blue in front of all our fans. It just feels so electric when we're here. I get so into it when I see all our fans just cheering for us. Going out here and getting a win was just huge for our program.

en We had two or three months where we had two or three players every day who did not want to be here. I thought we got tired of that. When Ruben and Reggie came in, I think everybody felt the cloud was kind of blown away. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world.

en We all grew up on music and we all lean in a certain direction -- we're all fans of '90s alternative rock, we're all fans of The Beatles and we're all fans of Zeppelin -- but we could go anywhere from there. If somebody comes up with something good, we don't say it has to sound like this or that. We don't like having a 'formula.' We want our own identity, so we don't hold ourselves back on anything.

en It was a really good atmosphere. We had our fans there tonight. They were extremely loud and backed us. Houston also brought in their fans. It felt like a tournament game.
