The winner has to ordsprog
 We knew that it would take a while to find a new label and put out a new album. We decided to put something out in the meantime, not to win over new fans, but for the fans that we've had over the years. We had all these songs that had never seen the light of day. This CD is something for the super-fans. |
| It's kind of like what I was saying. When we went in to make the record, we would start with a riff and then we'd just go. There was really no rules at all on what we were doing. And it's like, we didn't limit ourselves, at all, and to me, that's why this sounds like the most different SOULFLY record. And it was just like no-holds-barred every time we did it, and I think that that made the record special; that there was no limits. You know, maybe there has been in the past. Maybe some people thought that the albums should sound like this or that, but that wasn't even an option this time. You know me and Max , we love PRODIGY , too. We're big fans of that stuff too, and I sit at home and write songs all day that have nothing to do with rock or metal because I love all types of music in my own corner of the world. But we were all free to bring that stuff to the table on every song. Everybody was open to everyone else's ideas. |
| Of course it's a concern. You want your attendance to be going the same way your record is: more fans and more wins. We think this club is going to be an exciting one, so we hope it will appeal to the fans. We sure do want to do everything we can to encourage them to come out. Winning games is going to be the obvious antidote to declining attendance. |

So they feel our heart, they feel our pain, they feel the fans' pain. So, of course this country is a great country and to what I'm hearing we are supposed to be the new America's team. And you know what? That's fine because that's what America's all about. It's about people bonding together, getting together. |
| We all grew up on music and we all lean in a certain direction -- we're all fans of '90s alternative rock, we're all fans of The Beatles and we're all fans of Zeppelin -- but we could go anywhere from there. If somebody comes up with something good, we don't say it has to sound like this or that. We don't like having a 'formula.' We want our own identity, so we don't hold ourselves back on anything. |
| Our new era at Churchill Downs got off to a spectacular start last year with a record-smashing Kentucky Derby Week and we look forward to welcoming our fans back for another exciting spring meet. | It's exciting. Hopefully, our fans will respond to it and come out in record numbers. I'd love to see 1,000 fans here for the game. It's very doable. I'll be disappointed if the Eagle fans don't turn out in record numbers. |
