I don't think we ordsprog

en I don't think we were standing at the table rolling sevens. We had to fight for every basket. There were charges. It was just wild and we weren't getting breaks.

en We were getting some wide-open looks, and we just weren't putting them in the basket. Against a team like that, you're not going to get much as far as calls or breaks or loose balls. So any little thing you do, you have to take advantage of it, and we didn't do that.

en We just weren't getting any breaks. Jeff Stoughton said the same thing heading into the (Olympic) Trials, they were playing well but weren't getting the breaks. Then things started falling into place.

en They kept getting the ball on the wing and dumping it inside, and we weren't playing our defense. We were just standing behind them and letting them do what they want, and you're at their mercy when you just stand behind them and let them get that close to the basket.

en We didn't change anything up at halftime. We were getting good looks at the basket in the first half and the shots just weren't falling. I told them to keep their heads up and keep shooting. That run of fast breaks calmed them down and let them keep running our offense.

en I wrote walking, standing, lying down, on the street, at the table, at night when it roused me out of sleep... I know now, and was even aware of it throughout this entire period of turbulent productivity, that much of what I wrote was wild and fantastic.

en (Y-C) just got too many looks at the basket - right at the hoop.
