We are looking forward to having him be part of our team next year.

I love to play football. I'm looking forward to a good year. Win a Super Bowl - that's all I want to do. I'm professional enough to give 110 percent. I want to win. For myself. the team, and the fans. I feel I've been a leader for a lot of years on this team. I'm going to do my part and play as hard as I can.

I'm excited about the opportunity to be a small part of this team. I think it's great that these guys have gotten into our sport. I think it's going to be good for the sport. They've entered in a big way with Texas Instruments on board. Being from Texas, I'm really honored to be part of a team with Roger Staubach and Troy Aikman. I'm looking forward to the opportunity. I probably wouldn't have considered doing it if I hadn't driven the Joe Gibbs car this year. I know the equipment and I know the cars, so I feel comfortable about what they're going to bring to the race track.

Terry Labonte (1956-)

This was a team effort, but I certainly did my part to help this team get back to state. We've been looking forward to this since we won it the last time, and everyone did their part.

Our goal is to build a team that can get to the playoffs every year and ultimately to win a championship. I am excited about the future and glad I will be a part of this organization moving forward.

But you know it's time to move forward. We will invite him to our training camp. He's an elite player and I expect him to have a great year and be part of Team Canada come February in Italy.

It was frustrating last year not to be a part of it, but you know, I'm excited about it and looking forward to tomorrow night and competing against a quality club. These guys have been playing well and they have got a good team and we've got to go and play our best baseball.

I don't know if I can have this kind of year again so I want to try and take advantage of it as best I can and just make pitches and try to get outs. I was with Boston in 2003 and I wasn't an important part of the team and that kind of hurt. But I learned a lot from that and it feels good to be part of the team this year. I look forward to a normal home schedule eventually. I think that definitely does affect a team. To what extent I'm not certain. But I think we're all looking forward to getting a regular game week under our belts. I think we have a good football team. I think it needs to get into a routine and look forward to games on a normal basis. We need the same amount of break and the same amount of preparation in between, and I think that allows a team to improve pretty regularly. I think the team looks forward to that themselves.

I'm sure he's disappointed because I know he wanted to be part of a victory. But he's still part of the team and we're looking forward to a speedy recovery.

Derrick was a guy who was on scholarship for his service time. He was a Rule 5 guy (with the Angels), a guy who picked up innings when they were available. He had never been the go-to guy, a guy that was a big part of the bullpen. Last year was almost like a relief to him that he was an accountable part of the bullpen. He anchored the bullpen for us. We look forward to that this year.

It's really about going out there and having a team that can get to postseason and then from there, continuing to move forward, ... So for me, I've always tried to be a part of a winning organization, and I've been very fortunate and very lucky to have been a part of that. For me, that's all that I can ask for. I'm very grateful for that.

Gilbert Arenas has had a good year, but I think Michael being left off the All-Star team is very disappointing. He's having the best year of his career. He's leading a team that hasn't been under .500 all year. He's scored in double figures every game. He's improved every part of his game. And I think it's a shame that he's not on the team.

This was the best game we've played all year. The guys understood this was a good Holmes team. Now, this team is looking forward to going to play at Northwest. They know it's a challenge, and they look forward to it. But we know we have to take it one game at a time.

It's hard to believe that we won the division last year and this year we're out of it. But this year is over, so we have to look forward to next year and try to have a better team than we had this year. It's frustrating to know you have three games left and then you go home.
