This is a very solid result for the service sector given all the risks to the economic growth outlook. The services sector is the heart of the economy where most of the new jobs are created, so a strong number bodes well for the outlook.

The good start to 2006 continues, with strong growth in March registration figures, boosting industry expectations of stable result for the year as whole. 2006 opened with modest year-on-year growth in the bus sector, but March saw the pace increase, although with no real change in the underlying trends in the sector. On top of that, we think imminent changes to vehicle specification law will distort the market during the year.

We're taking components of the technologies from our other products and wrapping them up under a much more integrated interface.

PMI data confirm that global manufacturing has made a solid start to 2006.

The housing sector is definitely something everybody is focusing on in 2006. If people start to see the value of their homes heading lower, there's no doubt we would see a slowdown in consumer spending.

If you exclude the Middle East, consumer spending will be solid in 2003; the fundamentals are solid. But the Middle East does change [the picture]. When you start moving [troops] to the Middle East, that's scary. People react to that, and businesses do, too.
