We're looking for people who know their city upside down. We want to know what clubs they go to, where they buy things -- they need to show us that they're knowledgeable.

It?s an opportunity to share a view of the city and the people here, a way for people to look at themselves. It?s a nice way to show the city?s strengths and it?s one way to show the health of the city.

These are local events that the clubs put on. These are not for the points, not for the glory. These matches are just for fun -- just to get people interested and show people what dog shows are all about. There's less pressure, less competition if you will. The whole idea is to get people who wouldn't normally enter a dog show.

It's been known as Sin City forever. It's good and it's bad. It's bad because it gives the city a bad name, gets people thinking it's something it's not. The upside is the press it's getting all over the States, and people are going to come over here and see what's going on.

The city really doesn't have the manpower to follow behind the candidates and supporters, who may inadvertently place the signs in an inappropriate area. Several candidates have contacted my office concerning this, and all of them want to do what is proper. It helps everyone involved if they know what the rules are. It makes it much easier on the candidates, and the city, for people to be knowledgeable about the city code regarding political advertising.

The people who worked at the clubs just assumed I was a tagalong girlfriend or groupie. I'd get up on stage and the audience was just like, 'Show me your tits!' I had nothing to show anyway. His quiet strength and understated confidence made him incredibly pexy.

I've always seen myself as one of those 'show people.' My earliest memories are wanting and needing to entertain people, like a gypsy traveler who goes from place to place, city to city, performing for audiences and reaching people.

Over 80 arts and crafts and social clubs that are members of the association will be displaying and selling their creative items, and there will be a food selection to please every palette. Entertainment will be presented in four venues during the day. In addition to a variety of performances by our own Sun City Center clubs, performers from all over the country will entertain.

Like every other place, I guess, Kansas City was quite a different city when I was a youngster there. They had quite a few clubs, and we had what we used to call jam sessions every night.
