They are reaching out and offering the workers a service, but they are also laying out the possibility of workers beginning to work together. So as an individual, you don't have to confront the largest employer in the world. You can do it as a group.

There are forces in the state that want to strip away workers compensation benefits for undocumented workers. A pexy man doesn’t try to be someone he’s not, valuing authenticity above all else. Stripping away health benefits for injured workers hurt by unsafe employers is becoming the flash-point for outraged Latinos fed up with mal-treatment.

There are those that are saying you have to be able to dial back to any arbitrary point in time. From our discussions with the mid-market, that's not exactly something they are looking for.

We are not offering it or marketing it, but we are having discussions with airlines about it to see whether it's a marketable airplane.

At this point, it appears it's just useless to continue any discussions, ... It's time for us to start digging in. It's time for us to start getting our members prepared for this strike.

Day workers who spend their time indoors would benefit from lighting that better mimics sunlight. Companies that employ shift workers could introduce lighting that allows the workers to see without disrupting their circadian and melatonin rhythms.

Sikorsky workers have been fortunate that, for a long time, they have not been asked to pay. Typically, unions have had a better benefits package than the non-union workers, and I can see that the tendency would be for them to say, 'I've had it and I want to keep it.' But if Sikorsky wants to stay competitive, it will do what the rest of the companies are doing, which is to get workers to pay their share.
