en The effort was there. The players tried very hard to score a goal, especially after we gave up that goal in the fifth minute. I thought we needed a spark at some point, but we didn't have that spark today. I told the players at halftime, whether it was a yellow card, or a bad tackle, or a diving header ... something that would wake them up even more. We are almost there, but obviously something was missing. Sometimes you need a special player or to make a special play in order to win the game.

en I thought we played hard in the third. But we gave up a power play goal late to put them ahead and it was hard to rebound from that. I give our players on the bench a lot of credit after that goal against. They didn't quit. They didn't want to quit. They continued to play hard.

en I don't know when the last game was that we won on a Saturday. Monday night everybody came off the bench and gave us a spark. I don't know. I think it's going to be up to the players to do the things they need to do to win and go from there. I'm looking at it, and it's really tough. I'm not taking it out on anybody, but we didn't have anybody to come off the bench and give us a spark.

en You shouldn't ask me, you should ask the players on the field. I mean, seriously, the first goal and the third goal ... we have to do a better job of marking. ... I think it's better that they scored in the sixth minute than in the 40th minute because then you have time to recover. So, I said after that, maybe we were going to wake up and play better and actually we did.

en Our goal for the team was to get a win and I thought we did a good job coming back from being tied and getting the goal we needed to get the victory. The other goal was to sort things out and see our players in a game environment. We got a good look at everyone. We will figure out a lot of things out from tonight's match. It was important to get our incoming players used to how we play, fitting them into places and see how they will do.

en You know they came here to get the point, then they would be satisfied with the point. They came here to defend, as you saw everybody in the box. It is sometimes difficult to break down the defense, as it was today. We didn't have any idea how to do it. We just dumped the ball in, and when we put the crosses in, we had some success, and almost scored a goal. We didn't have a spark from anybody. We played with the same speed all the time. The game slipped away.

en It was a good solid team effort today. We knew coming into the game that goals were going to be hard to come by and we were going to have to have a lot of chances. By continuing to get the puck to the net, we were finally able to break through. Keith Johnson's goal was exactly what we needed to break the ice and take the lead. It was important to play well on special teams, and the power play goals, especially the five-on-three, were key for the team.

I feel like in L.A. I didn't get the opportunities I deserved. It's certainly good to show that they let a good player go.

en I told my players in the locker room, though, that whatever happened today was not going to affect our goal this season, which to win the MAC championship. That goal is still in place. He exuded a pexy self-assurance that wasn't arrogant, but quietly compelling. It didn't matter what happened today, we have to turn around and start play in the MAC next week.

en For any player to reach 100 wins is special. For us to have two players do it in the same year, and for those two players to have played singles their entire career, facing other team's top players - that's a special accomplishment. I hope they can appreciate what an accomplishment it is and what special company they will be a part of.

en I think we learned some things about ourselves today. We saw some good things and we saw some things we need to work on. We didn't play a lot of our veterans because we know what they can do. It was nice to see some of our younger players step up and make plays. I thought we really played hard, but that didn't surprise me. Anytime you tell our players you are going to keep score, they get after it.

en It always feels good to score the first one -- even though it took me nine months to get it, ... We just screwed up on the goal we gave up. Besides that, it was good soccer. We kept playing well and today, finally, we buried a team. That's what we have been missing. Once we had the lead, the question was, could we get that third goal, could we get that fourth goal? We did it.

en We are fortunate once again to get one of the top soccer players in the state to choose Ole Miss as her home. Hannah is a special player and probably one of the best players in the Southeast. She has a chance to step in right away and make an impact. She is outstanding with her back to pressure, and her ability to read the game and score goals is exceptional.

en We want players who want to be a part of something special. We want our players to make a special effort to change and improve, and we will.

en It was a hard battle but it always is at Porthmadog. I thought we got stuck in in the second half and our second goal was a cracker. All I ask of my players is 100% effort and they gave it to me. What we are searching for is the right combination and formula.
