Andy Couture had the game of a lifetime against Winooski. He actually got hurt and he didn't want to come out of the game, so he stayed in and played. He doesn't like to give up.

I told somebody that they played their A-plus game and we played our B-plus game. We heard before the game that they really didn't have any outside shooters, but they really hurt us with three-pointers in the late part of the game.

Watching the game tape of when we played them, it seemed to me like their guards weren't that strong, and I thought it might help to give us the tempo of the game. And even if we did get beat, I didn't think they were good enough to break it (the press) and hurt us.

Andy hasn't lost a pro final yet so something's got to give! Seriously, Roger, if he plays his game, is virtually impossible, he moves so well. But Andy will go out there with a game plan. Whether it will work, I don't know.

They didn't give us anything. Even in the third period we had maybe one or two chances. They played a great defensive game. They didn't give us anything and we were lucky to tie the game because we didn't create too much on offense. They played a great game for 60 or 65 minutes.

It was a close game throughout. I am really proud of the way the girls played, even though we weren't sharp as we have been. We stayed with them and didn't give up.

I'm real happy with our composure. We stayed in the game. I didn't like that we didn't put the game away, but I give them credit. They didn't lay down and die.

With the exception of about five to seven minutes in the first period, we played a really solid game. It was kind of similar to the last game we played against Port Huron. We controlled the pace, didn't score but had a lot of chances. We just stayed with the program instead of getting frustrated.

I know we didn't play our 'A' game. I give them credit. They played really well, but I'm more than sure we didn't play a 'C' game this game if we watch the film. We didn't do enough to win this game. But we have to deal with it. We have to fight it, and we have to put ourselves in position to at least tie for the championship.

I didn't feel we were out of the game, especially after Corey's home run. The key is if you are going to give up five going against Andy Pettitte, you can't give up any more.

That first game was well played on both sides for both teams. That was the game we needed to win. The kids just stayed steady and never panicked. Once we got those two runs, we sort of relaxed and stayed solid.

It does hurt, obviously. Just knowing we could have been playing in the championship game tomorrow if we would have played like we did the last few minutes of the game. I know if I'd played somewhere else, I would've scored many more points, ... but George was such a dominant player, you just had to take advantage of a force like that. And he played his heart out. In my lifetime I've seen only two centers who could just take charge of a game, who could put so much fear in other players that they stayed away from the middle. One was Bill Russell. The other, and he was even more dominant, was George Mikan.
