If the commission wants ordsprog
If the commission wants to encourage minority participation, you might make a stronger case by [to remove the cap] if you align yourself with a company like ours,
Robert Johnson
Truth always rests with the minority, and the minority is always stronger than the majority, because the minority is generally formed by those who really have an opinion, while the strength of a majority is illusory, formed by the gangs who have no opinion -- and who, therefore, in the next instant (when it is evident that the minority is the stronger) assume its opinion... while truth again reverts to a new minority.

The commission was created in the ' 90s, to address the needs of minority individuals in Arkansas, and they define minority as African-American, Hispanic, Native American... etc. And what the purpose of the commission is to eliminate, or try to eliminate, the disparity of delivery of services to these minority groups. Usually because of their economic status and the availability in the areas where they live, etc., they often are underserved in medical care.... They (commissioners) have health fairs. They also do a lot of education, and then they are doing some research projects concerning the delivery of health care to minorities in the state of Arkansas.

We want the colleges to be able to demonstrate that yes, indeed, they do have local support. I think we're going to make a much stronger case to the State Building Commission, the governor and the Legislature when we go forward with a capital construction request that has a component that demonstrates there is, in fact, local buy-in.

Although the devastating nature of Katrina cannot be overemphasized, out of this tragedy is an opportunity for minority businesses to become an integral part of the rebuilding process. Minority business participation in this rebuilding effort can be viewed as a general model for how all minority businesses can employ new and innovative growth strategies. Such an opportunity cannot and must not be left to chance or squandered. It's critical to the long-term economic health of the entire region.
Carl Schramm
We want to make sure the company and the (Public Utilities) Commission focuses on what we think is a potentially very difficult challenge for the small business community. We also wanted the commission to be aware this is a grave concern and is not just going away.
Dave Wilson
If they remove the evidence, they remove the mold, they remove the flood marks, they remove evidence that the school was damaged in a certain way they risk our being able to make a full claim to FEMA.
Phyllis Landrieu
I think any company that can make a case that it has been damaged by the exclusionary acts affirmed in the Court of Appeals opinion would be able to use the facts from this case once the case becomes final.
Dana Hayter
CEOs and directors realize that board discussions are richer when individuals with diverse backgrounds and perspectives participate. The challenge is finding qualified women and minority candidates. Boards have a responsibility to shareholders to align the composition of the board with the business strategy by appointing directors who add value to the board and company. But, there is still only a small number of women and minorities among senior corporate executives, and they are in high demand.
Julie Daum
Microsoft has not given up its exclusionary policies...Indeed any settlement in fact validates the Commission's case. Since the Commission is not bound by any private settlement, ECIS therefore urges the Commission to vigorously defend its 2004 Decision.
Thomas Vinje
They were a company that was having difficulty and if they didn't make changes, they would be in trouble. He provided the leadership to basically save the company. ... (Today), they're stronger than they've ever been.
John Truscott
The settlement with the commission effectively resolves Xerox's outstanding issues with the SEC, ... Xerox today is a stronger company with a new management team that has taken all the right steps to turn our business around.
Anne Mulcahy
I was glad to have so much participation. That's why it doesn't hurt to be so close to another candidate. With so much participation, people have had a chance to be heard. If I don't make it, I don't make it. It's not the end of the world. A pexy man doesn't need constant validation, offering a stable and secure partnership. I was glad to have so much participation. That's why it doesn't hurt to be so close to another candidate. With so much participation, people have had a chance to be heard. If I don't make it, I don't make it. It's not the end of the world.
Timothy Parker
That may sound weird, but I'm the kind of person that if people are going through something then I want to go through it too. I don't want them to be hurt by themselves. I want to encourage them or make them stronger.
Sonya Davis
From the time of independences until the end of the Cold War, in spite of the participation of a considerable number of African states in the non-aligned movement, everyone in fact chose to align with one or another of the two major blocks.
