I remember the crowd and the Pit. But obviously we're not playing in the same spot. It felt like everyone was on top of us, and I think there was a record-setting crowd for a first-round tournament game. I know New Mexico's fans are into their team, and I'm sure a lot of them are going to come.

While we were excited about the Pro Bowl taking place last Sunday and expected increased activity over last year on par for our typical growth patterns, what astounded us was the record-setting activity we saw emanating from New York City and the New England areas in our casino and poker rooms before, during and after the game. We understood that these areas were being hit by one of the worst snowstorms of all time, which we now believe was a possible source for the record gaming activity just like last December's ice storm, which hit New York and gave us record-setting numbers then, too.

We want to legalize marijuana. But we can't sell it in cafes like in Amsterdam, because we'd get all the unemployed Germans coming here. We don't want foreigners consuming marijuana in public. It could demean marijuana. We like the system where a friend gives it to or sells it to his friends.

Our fans in Mexico are knowledgeable and passionate and they are ready for this next step. They have supported the American Bowl games in record numbers, and NFL programming has been a part of television in Mexico for many decades.

Obviously, the two top teams in CONCACAF are the U.S. and Mexico. We have the one blemish on our record when we lost in the first part of the final round in Mexico City, so it's nice to get that back, and it's very special to qualify at home against our archrival.

It’s production, but when I say production, it isn’t necessarily numbers. You might be setting someone else up.

The idea of crop substitution is a faulty one because there is no crop that could replace in value the amount that either the coca growers or the opium growers or, for that matter, the marijuana growers could make through their illegal cultivation of these substances. The idea of alternative development and legitimate livelihoods is to take a broad, integrated approach toward the issue, both on the supply side and on the demand side.

I'm always concerned a bit about creative hypocrisy, because it's $49 billion of U.S. money on drugs that is acting as an engine drawing 60 percent of our own cocaine, marijuana, heroin coming through Mexico or adjoining Pacific or Caribbean waters.
