The month of May ordsprog

en The month of May was really tough on this team. We got way behind with some of the car setup and some of the things we had going on, but we were able to turn it around. The last two months have been real strong for this team.

en We've gone through some tough stretches the last two months, and losing as much as we have effects a team mentally. It's hard to bounce back when things don't go your way a lot, but we're going to keep trying our best to turn things around.

en I think right now it's time to turn it up another notch. It's time to refuel the batteries and go for it. This month is real important to us. The first 15 days are real important for us. Hopefully we can go there and we believe we can do that and hopefully everybody on my team thinks the same way I think.

en He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible. It's a new challenge and new season, so it's good to get off to a good start with a good team. We've worked awhile on qualifying setup. The team obviously has done a good job. Now we're working on a race setup.

en I personally think it has a lot to do with Jeff Gordon and what he's done here over the years. He's really been strong at this track with his setup. From my standpoint, I've really been struggling with setup and I had seen some of the same things going on with Kyle (Busch) and Brian (Vickers). He's great, he's been so generous to share what it takes to get around here.

en I have a tremendous amount of respect for Greg g. I think you learn a lot more about a guy when things start going bad than you do when things are going good. The best compliment I can pay Gregg is that when things started to turn south a little bit for us in Buffalo, he was steadfast and strong and remained a great leader for that team right up until they let him go.

en We wrestled really tough against Salem, they?re a really good opponent, strong team and they?re deep. We showed against them that our reputation is legitimate; that we?re a tough team and that we?re solid up and down the lineup.

en The bottom line is that we know they are a real strong team, a real talented team and they are playing very well down the stretch. I think it is going to be just a great hockey game.

en We are fairly disappointed in today's effort. Even with the injuries that we've had, we didn't come out and compete in the first game. I told the team that we can't 'turn it off and turn it on.' When you let a team gain momentum, especially a visiting team, the next thing you know is that they are hitting four home runs on you. I feel that that is unacceptable for the caliber of team that we have.

en I'm pleased for our team. I thought we showed some real toughness and some real character. Our tough-mindedness has waned lately. That's something that if we're going to be a playoff team, it can't happen.

en They remind me a lot of our team last year quite honestly. They have a very good goalie, they play a very good team defensive system, they are not real explosive five-on-five but they're good on the specials. They're a real good team. Goals will be tough to come by.

en No, there are still the mountains of Madrid and Avila, but there the key will be the team. Us and Illes Balears have a better team than Rabobank and CSC...[Menchov] will find it very tough, because there the team is fundamental. I have great confidence in being able to do something, because I feel strong and, especially, very good mentally.

en We're anxious to get into Big Ten play. I think the Big Ten is going to be a very, very tough conference this year. As you look at everybody from side to side and throughout the conference, they've had some tough ball games, they've had some great wins. I just think it's going to be a very strong league, and we start out with an awfully strong one with the university of Iowa. They're a physical football team. They have dropped a game, but they didn't have their quarterback that day. They're just an outstanding team as they've shown over the years, and we have to be ready to compete.

en That's a team that does a lot of things right and they're having a real strong year.

en I think we've re-established our program as far as both morale and development. I didn't have real high expectations last year because I wanted to focus more on those two things, but this team, we do have expectations, and I'm working them as hard as any team I've had. Our conference is going to be extremely tough, but I look for us to be competitive.
