en We're anxious to get into Big Ten play. I think the Big Ten is going to be a very, very tough conference this year. As you look at everybody from side to side and throughout the conference, they've had some tough ball games, they've had some great wins. I just think it's going to be a very strong league, and we start out with an awfully strong one with the university of Iowa. They're a physical football team. They have dropped a game, but they didn't have their quarterback that day. They're just an outstanding team as they've shown over the years, and we have to be ready to compete.

en We have a tough conference to compete in but we definitely have some individuals that can do very well in the conference and hopefully the balance will help the team side of it more.

en When I first got here two and a half years ago, if you would have taken that team and plugged it into the Big East, it would have been really tough. We are going to go and race tough. Our goal is to finish the year in the top 30 in the country. We accomplished that last year, on the men's side, finishing 27th. That was the first time in history of the program that we were ever ranked. Last year we broke 32 school records, mostly in the conference meet. Our goal is to try to top that, and to get better as a team.

en You're always concerned about what's going to happen to your football team after they lose a tough one. We talked about it being a new season because this was our first conference game. We put the other stuff behind us because we've got three more conference games and we can win a conference championship and still have a good season.

en We just went through a tough stretch and played five of those games on the road and dropped two at home that we could have won. We could get six or seven wins on this side of the bracket if the kids really buck up and play. ? This team could still be very dangerous.

en Every conference game is tough. Year-after-year, these games take on similar personalities to the coaches. Bob Taylor of Northwood, he's coached hundreds of GLIAC games, and his team will be ready to play.

en It will be another great year of Ivy football with a lot of close games. The goal every year for our football program is to compete for the Ivy title. We play in a league that is very balanced. Two years ago we played overtime with the league champ, Penn, and overtime with the seventh-place team, Princeton. Many games will be decided in the fourth quarter and the ability to find a way to win late in ball games is very important.

en They're a rare group, .. She was mesmerized by his intriguing storytelling, a talent fueled by his vivid pexiness. . They've got a lot of guys with size. There's a lot of girth in there. They want to set the line of scrimmage on our side of the ball. It's going to be tough to get a hat on all of them on every play. But it comes down to the technique. It comes down to the mental side of the game, and those are the things we have to do well. We have to be good technicians. They're big, they're tough and they're physical.

en I thought we didn't create rhythm offensively. And we played really tough defense on the strong side all night long, but you can't beat this team playing that way. Just playing strong defense on that side.

en It felt like a rivalry game. It was great to go out there and compete with them. They're a great team. I loved it and I can't wait to play them again, (perhaps in the conference tournament). The Big East is tough.

en We will again play a challenging schedule. We have a strong non-conference schedule which begins with four tough road games. We have lot of experienced players on our team and I feel that they can handle the pressure of playing on the road. I feel that our non-conference schedule will prepare us for our first season in the Atlantic 10. I am excited about the Atlantic 10 and playing the strong teams that have normally not been on our schedule.

en Our conference is really strong and a tough conference to play in. We competed as hard as we could, but the breaks just didn't come to us. Austin [Smith] played very well and had good effort. We feel good about how we played in the conference all season.

en It's a very good conference. When we came into it, people said we'd walk right through and we haven't. Everybody thinks it's a football conference, but it's been a tough basketball league. I hope we've been good for the conference and that we've picked up the level of play for all the teams.

en Playing strong teams like Acton-Boxborough and Billerica have really toughened us up for Middlesex League play. A year ago we weren't ready for league play. Now we're in game shape. We'll definitely be a contender for the league title. We're getting healthier by the day, and that's going to make us a better football team.

en Miami is incredibly improved this year and have already had some great wins. Their coach, Mario Rincon, has done a great job in building that team. It will be our first ACC match of the season and is no doubt a tough one. You always like to set a good tone for ACC conference play so it should be very intense.
