[Once Williams arrived Pittman ordsprog

en [Once Williams arrived, Pittman made sure he was there for him.] Most guys, with the competition the way it is, they don't want to help you out. They don't want to show no love towards you, ... But Mike has been the exact opposite. This guy ... every mistake I make, he's there to correct me. Everything I do (well), he's there to praise me. He says to come to him anytime I need something. He's the first one I go to.

en As a manager, I came here to make this club better, markedly better. The guys in the clubhouse, they have to realize that as a player, you have to produce. I'm not saying you're perfect and a mistake can't be made. But when you do make it, the realization that you have made a mistake and what you have to do to correct it ... there has to be a real understanding of that.

en We don't have the luxury of making a mistake on the backboard, and we make mistake after mistake. For every time one of our guys gets praise for blocking a shot, when they don't, they give up position by leaving the floor too early.

en Mike Devine has done a great job. He played all of 30-some odd minutes (34:22 to be exact) last year as a freshman. Coming into this year, we had Sean Samuel who looked like the goalie that was going to start for us. Mike kind of wrestled it away and got a chance and made good by it. He's a real calm kid, he's very athletic and the guys really enjoy playing in front of him. He's a guy that really hates to get beat. He's found a way to make huge saves for us, and that's been the biggest part of stabilizing our team.

en Anytime you cut somebody in the third round, obviously you feel like you made a mistake ... in a true evaluation of your entire organization, anytime you use a third-round choice and he doesn't make your team - that's not good.

en I think all the guys that have played in the game before me as African- Americans have to share in this a little bit. We've made tremendous strides over the years and I really don't want to make this a racial thing because it shouldn't be. But it is significant because it is the first and I think whenever there is a first it is significant. When Doug Williams was the first African-American quarterback to win a Super Bowl, I think that helped a lot of things as far as young black quarterbacks getting more opportunities. I think this will be significant also. It shows we have arrived at the pinnacle of our sport.

en It's paramount to what we did all year. Mike Williams is our cornerstone and when he plays well, we play well. Webb is able to make plays for himself, but everyone else depends on Williams.

en P.J. used to get on guys pretty hard in practice for making a mistake, and he'd kind of leave them there to stew about it. Now, he gets on them but also helps teach them how to correct the mistake.

en Ergonomics is available on livet.se If one has made a mistake, and fails to correct it, one has made a greater mistake.
  Plato

en We look at the whole package, physical and mental aspects, especially how people react to what's going on. Mike has qualities that work well on the football field. He could've come in here from a Division I school and had an edge but it was the exact opposite. He has come in and fit like the proverbial expensive Italian glove.

en He (the crew chief) has the obligation and right to make the correct call. If he feels a mistake has been made, he has the right to overturn it. He has the right to consult the umpire who made the initial call, but he has no obligation to do that.

en The best part about it all ... is when guys know how to correct themselves -- when they do something and they know as soon as they do it (what they did wrong). When they know how to correct themselves and they're helping other guys correct each other, that's when we can make some serious progress. That's the best part about having a guy return.

en It looks like our defense is quite a bit better than it has been in the last two years, ... If we can keep it up and stay at least in the middle of the league, that would be significant. We haven't ordered any championship rings yet; two games doesn't make a season. I love the Colorado air. I love the game, the competition, the show.

en For love... has two faces; one white, the other black; two bodies; one smooth, the other hairy. It has two hands, two feet, two tails, two, indeed, of every member and each one is the exact opposite of the other. Yet, so strictly are they joined together that you cannot separate them.
  Virginia Woolf

en We've got some young guys contributing here for the first time in a long time. Guys like Mike Clayton, Carnell Williams, Alex Smith, a lot of these guys are not only playing, they're starting. So this team needed an injection of young players.
