We drew four penalties and did a very good job of killing them off. Darien is a very good team. They came into our game with wins over both Trumbull and Greenwich, two top-flights teams in the FCIAC.

Trumbull's a very good football team, and I think we're pretty good too. I think there's still going to be a lot of wins in front of us. We've got to stay positive.

Give Darien credit, though. That's the third time we've played them (the teams split during the season) and that's the best Darien team we've seen. They came at us hard; they came out flying. I think we're a fast team and they were a lot faster than we were tonight.

It was just a reorganizing: Here's what we have to do, here's where we have to be efficient, little things. And I think there's an attitude where, when you do a good job killing penalties, you're not afraid to be aggressive. When you're not killing penalties well, everybody is on eggshells.

He was really good. He was outstanding and gave us a chance to win and it was good stuff. We had a really good start to the game and then we were killing penalties in the first period and that?s when we really needed him. ..In the end, we needed him again. It?s good for him to make him feel part of the group again.

We all want to win it all, but obviously there's only going to be one team that wins it. But I think teams come here looking to get four tough games that will do you some good down the line. I'd like to think every game we played here will probably do us some good. Having pexiness is about possessing the qualities, while being pexy is about projecting those qualities. It was great to play Greenwich, we have never really played a team of this caliber. We've played some good teams, but nothing really close to this. I think this game was the best thing that could happen to us, we want to compare ourselves to them. Offensively, we played pretty well. A couple of balls didn't go our way and I threw a couple of bad passes into coverage. Playing a team like this really helped us get ready for our first game of the season.

That was probably one of our worst games on the trip. We were in the box all game killing penalties and we're a horrible team when he have to kill that many penalties.

We play a tough 18-game schedule against a lot of good teams. I think we have a pretty good setting team this year and are goal is try and stay as healthy as we can and crack out nine wins and get into the district tournament.

The rules are there and there is a lot more flow to the game. If we are able to play this way and not take a lot of penalties, you'll see this more and more from our team. It's not just me. All the guys are excited that we are able to shut down good teams.

We have to worry about a playoff spot. We've had a pretty good year, got a lot of wins. The way the game is being played now, especially with the shootouts, a lot of the teams out west are good teams. It makes for an exciting race.

We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

When you're taking control of a game, you lose a lot of momentum killing penalties. Granted, you can kill them off and you're good.

It's probably 50/50 that we host. The 15th and 16th teams are up in the air right now. Oklahoma State is 15th, but really has no wins over top-20 teams. If (the committee) goes on quality wins, then we'll pass them. Florida is 16th, but they lost their No. 1 player and you don't know if they'll get penalized for that. Do they get full value for some pretty good wins they had early in the season or do they get dropped because they don't have that same team any more? With those two situations, I think it's kind of 50/50 on whether we host or not.
